Welcome to the the twenty-second edition of the Gods Unchained Weekly Recap! The week we have the...

Second Champion Reveal

In this week's official Twitch stream, Derek (Producer) and made the latest Season One reveals. This time we get to see Neferu, the Champion of Death. This is a most interesting card and really feeds into the Afterlife / Void play that Death is known for. Looks like a great way to deal with the Frontline spam from Light decks (until she gets stolen from you).

Official Stream

This was the second week of Season One reveals on the official Stream. This week, we were blessed with the presence of Derek (Producer) and Andrea (Lead Game Designer) who showed us Neferu as well as several other new cards. You can read up on the details from the stream at the two links below or watch the video and highlights on the official Twitch channel.

Balance Changes

No real balance changes this week. There was one post in the Balance forum relating to Pyramid Wardens. Here is the text from that.

Pyramid Warden + Apocalypse Now:

  • Fixed an issue that could cause Apocalypse Now to not destroy the creature summoned by Pyramid Warden.

Pyramid Warden + Osiris, the Eternal:

  • Fixed an issue where if Osiris attacks Pyramid Warden and both cards are destroyed, Osiris is returned to the board and is then immediately shuffled into the deck.

Marketplace

There were some updates to the official marketplace this past week, including bringing it onto the web. You can now do your buying and selling on the official website -- https://godsunchained.com/marketplace/

More changes will be coming in the future. You can read the full blog post about all of the changes.

As far as the general market for cards, it's been slow. And a few folks have been dumping their stashes to acquire ETH, which has been depressing prices. We really need a larger playerbase to get the marketplaces humming again, but it's understandable that marketing hasn't really kicked off yet.

Dev Update

The fifth dev update was posted on Reddit. It sounds like Flux, Fusing, and a Core card market are coming soon!

Meta

The meta continues to make small shifts week to week. Control decks are still very much in control of the overall meta, with Light, Magic, and Death leading the way. There are a few Aggro decks around Slayer or Soul Burn, but those are rare these days. I expect we wont see any huge shifts until Core card trading comes online.

With all the old meta reports seemingly faded awat, bittrio has taken a stab at it. You can read his report here - https://steemit.com/godsunchained/@bittrio/gods-unchained-meta-report-feb-5-ranked-constructed

Gods Unchained is an online, collectible card game with true ownership of your cards. The card information is stored on the Ethereum blockchain, so the cards can be traded, bought and sold in any NFT market, while the game itself runs off-chain, so there are no transaction fees involved when playing. The game is free to play, and you can get started now.
