Footprints In The Sand
A short story of serendipity for my fellow Steeminans to start your weekend off.
I was up early to catch a sunrise at the tip of Inch Beach, a sand-spit in County Kerry, Ireland. Despite its name, it's actually quite a big beach, with the largest dune system in Ireland and a stronghold of the endangered Natterjack Toad. Being the naive eejit that I am, I left the car near the entrance to the beach and walked to the end looking for a composition. I was left dissappointed because of the cloud cover so I walked back towards my car by the edge of the water. I suddenly saw the sun breaking through the cloud and illuminating the beach, so I started shooting. Then, as I was searching for a composition to show off what a light-show I was experiencing, I noticed the footprints that I had left behind on my way to the end of the beach. I had inadvertently left a slightly sinuous leading line towards the break of dawn. Pure luck.
Have a great weekend, folks!

That's a pretty nice shot, sir ;) Can we rename it to serendipity beach? I had my own bit of that last year when I suddenly ran into a friend from Dublin when I was there.
Ha ha, that's great! It's so fun seeing someone you know in unexpected places. It always takes me a few seconds for me to process the initial sighting, almost like my brain is saying; "No ,Mike. That person does not belong in this environment. It mus be someone else.".
It was super weird. I called her name and we both weren't really surprised until we realised how weird it actually was ;)
