The current tale of Google
I just got word in that Google was exposed for incredibly biased algorithms built and predicated on feeding us into their network while also affecting political outcomes, our children who are hooked to sites like youtube, and algorithms that aren't even fully understood but seem to be better than us in most ways.
Wait, hang on, we seem to be having some technical difficulties. It would appear That Youtube has removed the video for a privacy complaint by a third party. Well that's weird, Youtube is owned by Google. And now the woman in the video has her Twitter account removed, and her husband;s is privated? Oh! There goes her Instagram. Wow. What a day. After googling her I found, and other people rapidly found, a Medium article she wrote sort of addressing the issue, and it was all based in "i was edited, you got me saying things out of context" but the fact is that you said, without editing because I edit video and could recognise this, that you're a big company and you can draw a line for moral standard. That breaking you up wouldn't help the problem.
Oh, wait, now they've sent in a representative to a Senate meeting at Capitol Hill aaand she deflects every question. Ok. Congress meeting, that will go well, right/ Eeeehhh, well no not really. Google just buying more time. But ok, this can't be a coverup. Well there are 2 white male employees who were fired for ideas that didn't sit well with the rest of the company. A company that is trying to base their workforce around people with all kinds of ideas and differing opinions are treated equally. They're trying to now tell employees to not participate in an lgbt+protest event because it's against the company policies? Wow. Google. What's going on? Can you give us answers? Your twitter is bombed by people questioning you and you've chosen to make tweets about entirely unrelated information on updates and designs that are barely ever different form the last update you gave us. Google, I ask again. What are you doing? What's going on over there?
