1984 in 2018

we are living in crazy times I am sure we can agree. It seems that everywhere you look you see a political protest, marches, civil unrest, and violence. As someone who is "awakening," all I see is propaganda and the machine doing what it does best.

In the book Nineteen eighty-four, the people of Oceania are under constant surveillance, public manipulation, plagued by constant war and an ever-looming presence of the government watching and monitoring them for what they coin as "thought crimes" which in this book/ movie is pretty much as simple as not agreeing with the ideology of "big brother"

Sound familiar? Welcome to 2018, and this, of course, is not just here in America, the land of the Fee & home to the slave.

Now admittedly I have not read this book, I have heard about it of course but just have not gotten around to it, I just happened to see the movie over the weekend on Amazon Prime so I watched it. I was shocked at some of the correlations between a book that was published in 1949 and what is going on today! Shocking!

Let's go over the checklist

The government has complete control over media/ check ( almost there but not quite yet)
Government controls "education" / check
The people live in a constant state of fear/check
The government in a perpetual state of war/ check
division of the home/ check
divorce rates over 50% / check
the population fears the government and its enforcers, so they conform to what is the "social norm" in fear of reprisal/check

We are fastly moving into a world of almost complete totalitarian government control on a global scale from what I can see, and very few see it. will we be the first "thought criminals? Will we be rounded up and thrown in cages because we refuse to participate?

We as a people need to warn, and help wake up as many people as we can. Before its to late.
