[Summary Report] SEC20/WK3: Typography and Application.
Hello students, It's a new week which promises to be fruitful. It's my pleasure to bring to you once again the summary for last week's lesson. I want to believe we enjoyed the lesson dished out last week. Should I even be asking this question? The influx of entries is enough proof to show that the lesson was interesting.
I love the fact that many of my student are still keeping up with the energy level giving their all to be outstanding and I sincerely commend their effort. We still have 2 more weeks to go and I've not also backed down on my promise to take you from an absolute novice to a Good graphic designer. If you stay till the end, you would surely get your desired result, that I can guarantee you.
• Discuss your understanding about Typography.
• Research 3 other typeface categories not captured in this lesson. Talk about them and also give a visual representation of the typefaces.
• Demonstrate your understanding of Typography just like I have done with my four example using the following guidelines below.
a. Use "GRAPHIC DESIGN HOMEWORK" as your main caption
b. Use the colour combination you picked in last week's colour scheme task or any other different from mine to demonstrate
c. Ensure you create 4 different (typographic) designs and highlight the principles applied just like I did.
d. Fill in the details below after each of the four designs using this table.

I want to specially commend every student who took part in the homework task, I could tell from the entries that y'all did your best, I just could not hide the feeling of excitement that followed even as I took my time to review the entry of each and every one of you.
But you know we all cannot emerged as the top 5, I had to careful sieve out the top 5 out of the many outstanding post I had for the week. Trust me, it was such a sensitive task for me because everyone attempted it to the best of their ability.
However, here are some of these things that deprive some of the participants from making it to the top 5 are;
• Not being detailed enough.
• Doing something absolutely different from what they were asked to do.
• Hastily rushing through the task and missing vital steps/information in their practicals.
• Not following instructions to the latter.
In spite of all these deficiency, I still ensured I encouraged each and everyone of them with a good grade just to tell how much I appreciate their effort because we all are on a journey to "becoming" and should be encouraged all the way.
Notwithstanding, we have 5 top entries out of the many beautiful entries that came in. These participants singled out themselves by ensuring they leveraged on the areas where many overlooked just as captured above to emerge as the top 5. Two of our last week winners featured again this week, they maintained their energy level which earned them a spot in the too 5.
