[Grateful Vibes #2] I'm Grateful to God for Afternoon Campfires

in #gratefulvibes7 years ago

Afternoon Campfires

It's my sister's birthday today and I'm grateful she was able to fly in from Florida to spend it with her family. We got out an enviro-log with some cherry wood and lit up an afternoon campfire.

Swinging on the Swings

My daughter and her cousin have learned how to swing together and they are getting really good at it.

Popping Popcorn

What's an afternoon campout without popcorn! We popped it on the stove, next time on the campfire. :-)

To God be the Glory

I give thanks to God for all that He has given me and my family. I am not deserving of these blessings, so I ask Him everyday, "What is your Will for me?" and "Grant us wisdom to train up our children to do what is good in Your Eyes." and "Show us the way, that we may walk in it." Someday, we will be saying "Come, let's go up to the mountain of YHVH, to the Temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths."

God bless you!!

It's a pleasure! It's a great tag, I hope lots of people start using it! Bless the Most High! @ironshield

enjoy! It is good to praise Gd when things are good!

Yes, it's good to praise the Most High when things are good, the challenge is to praise Him when things are not-so-good! Can't help but wonder why He took away the easy times. @ironshield

because there's no test if the answers are already provided.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks :-)

Absolutely! And do not extinguish the Holy Spirit! @ironshield

lovely Post. Looks like the kids are having fun. I would say for me, it would be waching the kids playing and wondering why adults must complicate the world to the point of making themselves sick.
I am wodering are you a home schooler? In todays school curriculum it seems like they want confused, immoral, selfish and dumb students these days. I don't know about where you live but I know here it horrifies me the stuff they are teaching 8 yr olds.
God bless you and your family!

Thank you. I completed my welfare K-12 government-funded indoctrination and hated almost every moment of it. I didn't know that homeschooling existed at that time, I don't think it was even legal in my state then. Thankfully, my wife was home-schooled and that is the future for our children.

Now we can repeat the words of God to my children when we sit in our house, walk on the road and lie down at night and rise up in the morning. No schoolbus driving them away from us. @ironshield

Hallelujah to that!!

and that @ironshield is exactly why we homeschool too! My children can freely ask and learn about Yahweh, from their parents, anytime they wish. No one else is raising them with different, immoral ideals. Only we can show them the love of a parent too. We weren't meant to be separated even though the gov would love for us to do it. We are working towards our country homestead so hubs can be home FT too. I can't wait for that day!

Nice post! Awesome that the girls learned to swing together. That has to take some coordination! A campfire sounds really nice. We are having a pouring rain here and it always makes me feel a little cool so a campfire would be good. Popcorn too. I made some for lunch yesterday! Tasty! Thanks for the post. Blessings! #theunmentionables

It was a nice break from our normal day-to-day. The popcorn was a big hit, it disappeared very quickly. @ironshield

Happy birthday to your sister.
Its good to be grateful, beautiful sisters youve got

Thank you, both of my sisters visited today and they both brought their little ones... if you include my children, that makes seven in all! Amazing! @ironshield
