The rate at which suicide is getting more and more prevalent among youth is quite alarming. The use of social media can be an extremely toxic activity for already depressed people.

It's better to share our feelings when we are depressed, but its better also if we have someone we can count on, we can rely and listen to us. Let us not succumb to what these pages suggest that suicide is the answer.

It is equally important for us to be sensitive and help people who tend to post suicidal statuses. Support them and stay with them and make them feel that they are not alone. If it doesn't work then seek for professional help. Depression is more than just sadness. It is a form of sickness that sometimes needs medical and psychiatric remedies.

Above all, we need to be kind to one another, especially to our own selves.

You can't say "don't be depressed". Been there so many times. We will never understand what other people are going through. Sometimes, we are so good at hiding our pain because we don't want others to worry about us or to know how bad we really feel. It's something hopefully we will never understand, because if we did, then we ourselves would be in that dark place. I am speaking based on experience.

life is good! don't be depressed!

Yes its very true most especially among young people. Its very scary. that's why suicidal people are not be ignored. They should be showered with care and love for them to know that life is precious and someone loves them and cares for them. The lies of the enemy are polluting their minds so we must pray for them.

Be well, Lanie!

I am not really sure if I have been depressed in the past or maybe I was just so blessed to have so many friends with me along the way (esp. those hard and trying times) and they really made my difficult journey easier and lighter. I praise and thank God for them...When you feel the signs, don't hesitate to talk to God cry out to Him and to someone you are comfortable with. This is indeed a serious problem and the surveys are very alarming. God bless sis :-)
