How to really save the world

Saving the world can be done by each one of us doing our small part... here is how...

We undoubtedly live in a world that is declining faster than we can build it back up. Corporate money makes the rules and for environmentalist and green people it is not easy to get our voice out in the world where it can be heard by others that really care.

The Media and other social giants also color and shape what we as the user/viewer see in the end. So if the battle of getting the green-word out to the world is such an uphill road then how do we do it?

Answer: Don t try to inform the whole world in the beginning. Educate and act on your own. Please allow me 5 mins of your time to explain.

Earths lungs: The Planet  earth as it was even 100 years ago would have been able to handle all our emissions of CO2 and other greenhouse gasses without a problem. The problem is we are killing the earths Lungs and ability to filter, through Corporate farming methods and Deforestation among other things.

The demand for wood in the world is very high and in some countries theresgood reforestation Programs to replace cut down trees with new ones. This is a sustainable process, if done right, as far as the trees goes. but their is another issue that very little is known about, more on this soon...

With earths population way over 7 billion people ATM providing food for everyone is not so easy. The only way an advanced world can do this is through "mega farms" or "corporate" farms as they are mostly known as. This is not a problem on its own as earth can sustain growing food for all of us. The problem comes when the mega farmers "feed" and "protect" their crops.  As all mega farmers know already the quality of the soil they farm in has become a problem. Each year the soil gets worse and worse and the farmers are forced to apply more and more fertilizers and composts to these farmlands to get a decent crop. Fertilizers and compost helps the soil to carry the 'Food" for the plants.

Now if the farmers are feeding the soil every season why then is the soil still decaying instead of regenerating.???

The answer is Chemical non organic fertilizers and pesticides.

Organic matter (compost) will feed all the needs of the plants if the soil was healthy. But because of the pesticides and non organic fertilizer are killing the living  and micro organisms in the soils every year. Compost on its own cannot feed the plants. it requires worms and other micro, organisms to break the food down into a usable format for the plants. Now because last years pesticides killed all that was alive in the soil it means there is nothing left to break down the plants food. The farmers already know this and thats why they use fertilizers instead. These fertilizers are already broken down into the base elements that the plants need. Problem is next year you will need even more.

In nature the plants build up a natural protection against the insects that adversely affect them. But this protection they extract from the soil in the form of humus and other beneficial bacteria thats injected into the soil by worms and other good bacteria.

This is where you and i can help make a difference. We can each help in small ways to recycle our waste properly and more even to compost and feed soil around us as much as we can. Even if you live in a multistory building you can keep a worm bin to recycle your waste and create worm Poo" (black gold) to put back into the soil. put this black gold into your pot-plants or into parks around you to help restore our soil.

We are killing worms and other good little crawlers around the world at an alarming pace and they are the only ones that can "Naturally' feed us.By helping to keep them alive in what ever small way you will be part of helping and restoring the planet in a way that actually makes a difference.

I will add more info on this in future post. I just wanted to slightly enlighten the world out there that there is a way to make a difference.

Keep living green and recycle wisely.
