This is a mandatory upgrade for all wallet users! Please upgrade as soon as possible.

This release serves to fix the many issues present in the 3.7.7.0 release that caused us to shut down exchanges amid the forking problems. With this release we will be informing exchanges it is safe to resume trading.

Download the update from GitHub here.

The Windows MSI can be downloaded here.

Note that the in-wallet upgrader is still not working at this time. Please do not upgrade from inside the wallet!

That's great! Hopefully most of the problems are now out of the way.

So the Win one did not include all the fixes?? Because the msi is already on .8

It currently does not include all the listed fixes, so it was pulled temporarily until it can be reuploaded.

Arg... I already told in the forum that the win is up too :(

We had reports that the sync got stuck so it might have been built from the wrong commit, or there is something else going on. We pulled the MSI from the site to see what's going on.

That is what it looks like. There was a release candidate built last night labeled 3.7.8.0 and then there was one more set of commits made after that. The current release tag is correct on git and master is up to date. Barton26 is working with the builders to make sure the right Windows binary is built that includes all of the changes.

When? Please inform, when we shall download anew.

The windows msi is now on the website here.

I will update this post when it is uploaded.

i guess you'll be able to install it 'over' the current .8

woah my wallet is wayy behind will that be an issue with upgrading or is it just simply updating and using my private key to regain access?

Backup your wallet.dat and gridcoinresearch.conf and install the update and you should be set.

Yay! Thanks for the update.

I have my wallet on my work laptop on my desk in my office. I am out until Monday, so my wallet will be running 3.7.7.0 until I get in. What issues can I expect to see by leaving it up for the weekend?

What about the LINUX wallet?

It should be uploaded to whatever PPA or manager you use for your distribution.
