My Top 3 Favourite Mateus Asato Videos

in #guitar7 years ago (edited)

Mateus Asato is one of the most amazing distinctive young guitarists of recent times. Great playing, musical phrasing and just an amazing individual voice. I feel very fortunate to have attended his 3-day guitar camp in Singapore last year. I learned so much and am still gradually applying what I learned from it.

These are three of my fave videos from his YouTube channel.

North
This is a really well thought out solo acoustic guitar piece. Nice intro, great groove and beautiful build-up.

Don't Dream its Over
Great arrangement, very lyrical. What pretty tone and touch too!

The Bridge
An earlier Asato piece, this I reckon is famous on JamTrackCentral and is one that my students and I have worked on.

What's your fave Mateus Asato video?
Is this the first time you're watching Mateus play?
