GameXCoin, Mainnet is on full-scale…low-cost structures compared to EOS
Starting with a consortium blockchain to minimize the cost of using the platform for gamers and users
GameXCoin, which is a global gaming blockchain, announced that it has finished developing its own main network and is going to start creating its first public block (Genesis block) starting from today. GameXCoin’s mainnet was developed using EOS source code and has been checking security and stability through various verification processes since this November. The source code has already been released through its Github.
While GameXCoin is based on EOS, a general purposed blockchain, it has been working hard to implement algorithms optimized for use by game developers and users. Moreover, the high resource costs that were problematic in the early days of EOS launch have been much improved through the use of system resources jointly shared by network participants, so that both game developers and users are expected to minimize additional costs to run and play games.

The four trusted companies will become select block producers and operate as a consortium. The initial resources for blockchain operation were provided by the block producers so that users could use the service without such actions as token staking as in EOS.
Advantages to game users over conventional general purposed blockchain include free account creation and convenient user interface via mobile app. Also, the company sets dual modes for the token status, which enables easier transfer/use of tokens during the game play by omitting the additional authentication process. Also, the use of system RAM rather than user RAM in the service greatly reduced the requirement of user’s RAM demand, which in turn resulted in significant improvement in the RAM cost issue, which became an issue during the initial launch of EOS.
Starting with the launch of mainnet, commercial games that are implemented on GameXCoin blockchain will soon be launched, and the integration with Gala Lab is underway for its games “Flyff” and “Lapels,” which have 100 million users in total. Along with the company’s recent public token sales that were closed in just a minute, it is expected that successful game launching will take place after launching mainnet.
