ProtonMail, e-mail with double encryption, created by specialists from CERN and MIT, launched its own free VPN service.

Test beta ProtonVPN is distributed free of charge and has no time constraints, but only 10,000 users who have already subscribed to the service are able to withstand less than a day. Other users are invited to sign up for a waiting list. Subsequently, when the company installs additional servers that are expected users will also receive a free VPN.

The company also offers paid VPN tariffs (€ 4, € 8, and € 24 per month) that can be set up without waiting. The free version, like paid, encrypts the IP address across three countries. The difference lies in the speed of the connection.
