Vmware or virtual box for a hackintosh
As my followers know, I have been talking about Hackintosh.

So as the title says I will talk about wich one is better, virtualbox or vmware.
Virtualbox
Good points
- Easy to use
- free to use
- more than 1 VM (virtual machine) at the same time
- no patch necessary for running MacOS on a PC
Bad points
- Non virtualbox tools support for MacOS as guest
- Hard to make the sound work on Mac
- Icloud login will not work (and any others apple services)
The nonexistence support for the virtualbox tools make the guest (macOS) unable to fit all your screen in a custom resolution. The sound is deformed because virtualbox dosent have any drivers. The icloud login is usefull to have the websites shared with your Iphone, Ipod, Ipad or Idontcare. Also you can share you folders in icloud.
Vmware
The good points
- Vmware tools compatible with guest MacOS
- icloud login
- Sound will work
- Less graphical glitches than virtualbox
Bad points
- Paid
- You can't run more than one virtual machine in the free version
- Harder to use
- Requires a patch to enable MacOS as guest.
I could not get it to work in the free version. So I "stealed" a key from the web. The patch is pretty easy to install, but if you don't know what your doing you could break vmware.
Conclusion
I recommend more to use vmware for the hackintosh. You can get full screen in vmware, less glitches, get icloud to work and the sound will work. However in virtualbox and vmware facetime, imessages will not work.
