Conspiracy theories, let's talk about 'em!
Ghosts, spirits, apparitions, demons, angels, and ghouls are just a few names of a common phenomenon that many people report seeing. A spirit of a once living person, or animal in some cases, that is now trapped here on Earth with us currently living beings.
Do they exist? Are they really trapped here? What do they want? So many questions shroud this topic. Maybe we can uncover some answers with a bit of critical thinking, let's jump on the proverbial ghost train and take a ride to strange town shall we?

The biggest and most controversial of the questions, "Do they exist?"
Well, it's hard to say for sure. I personally try to look at everything with an open mind, so I'm really indifferent about the question in itself. However, I've definitely had some strange encounters of my own. So I do believe there is more than likely something out there that happens to be nearly invisible to the naked eye. But what is it? Could we perhaps be mistaking these strange phenomena like poltergeists for the supernatural while it may just be something very natural? I won't rule out ghosts, but I will certainly entertain the idea that maybe residual energies have something to do with it.
It is pretty well known that we are very much electric beings. There is significantly more to us than just flesh sacks full of fluids, we all have and create electricity that flows through us. We also have a sort of field around us, you can test this simply by touching a piece of cellophane or the thin plastic wrapper off a card pack or cigarette pack. You'll find the wrapper will stick to you, as if you and the plastic is are magnetized. Another name for this that most will recognize is static electricity. Knowing we have this constant electrical energy within us, I wonder if when we die, does that energy get released? If it does, what happens to it? Does it become a residual energy and just remain in the general location of where the person died or attach to an item or structure such as a doll or house? If this is the case, I think it could possibly explain why some houses and items are perceived to be haunted. With an excess of electrical energy in one spot, as a person enters a room or passes near a doll, I could see how their natural electric fields could kind of arc over and interact with the residual energy's field, causing a doll's head to turn or the lights to flicker.
With this theory, you can actually explain many of the phenomena tied with supernatural experiences scientifically. Seeing shapes and hearing voices could be linked to how the electric fields interact with our optic nerves and our highly conductive brains.
But this doesn't quite explain the instances captured on film when no one is around...

Of course, living in the age of Photoshop and masterful special effects, virtually everything on the internet can be a hoax. It's hard to tell what is real and what is not. However, every once in a while, you may stumble across a genuine piece where there truly is no explanation. What then? Well, if you rule out the residual energy idea and approach it with a more supernatural standpoint, could it be the spirit of the deceased? Maybe.
There was a physician by the name of Duncan MacDougall who in 1907 published a scientific study stating that the soul has a physical weight. The 21 Grams Experiment. In short, he weighed 6 people that were near death then weighed them right after they died. He found a 21 gram difference in one of the 6. He hypothesized that was the physical weight of the soul. Though many people rejected this study for it's small amount of variables, let's just go with it. This would not only tell us the weight of the soul, but that there is in fact a soul and that it can interact with the physical realm. This is important because this would mean that once the soul leaves the body, it is still here, just enough to be able to interact. This could explain the ghosts people see and experience. And if you're wondering, "well why would some souls stay and some not, like my Grandma?"
Well, if you spent you're entire life in one town, looking at the same mundane scenery day in and day out, wouldn't you want to go off and see the world if you found out you now have unrestricted access to it? That's merely just speculation that they do, of course. So if that is the case, why would one stay?
Perhaps it's because they have unfinished business or are perhaps they're waiting for a fellow soul to arrive that they knew in life. There really is no telling what could cause a soul to remain here on Earth, if it indeed does... But what if it's not a soul of a person, but rather a demon just hiding in the soul's realm to cause harm or posses the living to come into the living realm?

Angels and demons are and interesting thing, mainly because we have hard evidence of them, if you're religious at all, in virtually all the holy books throughout the world. But even if you're not religious, isn't it interesting how almost all the religions have at least that one key thing in common? Even in cultures that had no way of contacting each other, they still have the commonality of angels and demons. Could that in itself be evidence? Maybe, maybe not. However, there have been several reports of paranormal activity where the force in question has been identified to have malicious intent and even said to posses the living. Which seems to be fairly consistent with what is said of demons. So if demons are indeed real, what do they want? Why are they here? Why are they preying on the living? Well if you were to look into most holy books and read what it says about demons, they mostly talk about how they are mean spirited, meaning they just like to cause harm and mayhem. But also, you'll find that they are often said to be envious of us living. The same is said for angels too, though angels typically dont posses or try and cause harm, but rather the opposite.
So are demons just roaming around the world, lurking behind trees?

Most holy books say they are free to roam, and can even be summoned, adversely, they can be banished from this world back to hell if you know the demon's name. As for them lurking behind trees, I doubt it. But there has been reports of haunted woods before. Were they demons? Maybe. Ghosts? Maybe... But another semi-popular theory is that ghosts and demons may not really be what we're seeing... And once again, we're back to aliens...
That's right, these ghostly happenings may just be close encounters of the third kind. I don't mean to say that so nonchalantly because that is equally as terrifying and amazing. This theory would suggest that extraterrestrials (or perhaps they are terrestrials?) are invading our homes, parks, and businesses to toy with us, experiment with us, and even kidnap us. But why? How? Who really knows why or how, all we can really do is draw lines and speculate... Or we can take a few of the abduction reports from the mountainous pile as factual information. According to some reports of those who claim to have been abducted and claim to be experts, these aliens can follow a certain family for many years and over these years they may interact with them. Moving things around the house, writing words or drawing symbols, and in somecases, they can even manipulate one's mind or alter their behaviors making them go mad. These are just a few of the symptoms of an alien haunting, but you can easily see the connection between an alien haunting and a poltergeist and even what could be considered a demon possession.
However, there's something even worse than aliens, demons, or ghosts. Let's take a dive straight down to the depths of the rabbit hole...

What if all these the apparitions and hauntings are really nothing more than an elaborate deep state or New World Order psy-op on the people of the world? I know what you're probably thinking, "Oh come on Rorschakk, that's just ridiculous!"
Just hear me out on this one. There is a surprising amount of reports and even several novels out there that talk of just this sort of thing. There's a common theory out there that the US government has a plethora of technology that has been reverse engineered from alien technology and/or has been developed in secret to use as weapons or as a means of gaining control. One of these technologies includes a hologram projection device that can project a lifelike image that would be nearly impossible to discern if it were real or not. You can find a plentiful supply of information on this by merely searching "Project Blue Beam". I cannot attest to if this is a real thing or not, of course. I'm just an average "Joe Schmuck". But the stories surrounding this secret project are very interesting nonetheless.
There is one story where a man claims he was targeted by this nefarious agenda because he had a friend who brought a stolen laptop from a military base that had top secret D.O.D. information over to his house. The man claimed he was questioned by F.B.I., gang stalked, and constantly terrorized. He said at one point he caught a glimpse of a man in his house when his cloaking mechanism malfunctioned briefly then he disappeared again. He also said that at times his apartment would appear to be changing in size within, things would move around, he would get random punches, and even goes on to say that one night he kept hearing loud noises coming from outside his house. When he went to peak though his window into his front yard, he said it was a very foreign and alien like landscape and though it was night, it appeared as if it were daylight outside. He then went to open the front door and everything was perfectly normal.

Is this man's story evidence of the government playing mind games on people? Are there aliens toying and experimenting with us? Are demons trying to hurt or take control of us? Are the souls of the deceased wandering the earth? Or are all these paranormal experiences just a result of an electrical reaction to a residual energy surge?
I don't know, but I do know they are exciting to think about.

'Til next time,
