We can say that happiness is a state of complete satisfaction, characterized by its stability and durability. It is not enough to feel a small joy to be happy. Neither an intense pleasure is happiness. A fleeting pleasure. That is why we say that happiness is an integral state. The happy man is full. He lived a form of fulfillment. His situation is stable: he has a balance and only an external force can change it. As the most optimal of life, human happiness is universally sought after. It often appears as the highest goal of existence. The one that every man seeks to achieve, consciously or not.
Anonymous says: "Happiness is not a goal, it is the way we spend while we are searching for it, happiness are moments and memories that we only realize that we were happy when that moment has passed".

The Greek philosophers posed two essential questions: "What is happiness and what makes people happy?
His answers gave rise to three different positions. On the one hand, there were philosophers like Aristotle, who affirmed that to be happy implied achieving self-realization and achieving the goals we have set for ourselves, achieving a state of fullness and harmony of the soul. This philosophical current was known as eudemonism.

Another group of philosophers claimed that happiness meant self-reliance, being self-sufficient and not having to depend on anyone. In this sense, the followers of cynicism affirmed that we all carry within us the necessary elements to be happy and autonomous but to achieve this we need to follow a simple life and according to nature. For their part, the Stoics went one step further and affirmed that true happiness can only be achieved when one is alien to material comforts and follows a life based on reason, virtue and imperturbability.

Finally, the third current of Greek philosophy that was dedicated to analyzing happiness was hedonism. For its maximum representative, Epicurus, happiness meant experiencing pleasure, both physically and intellectually, fleeing from suffering. However, it also indicated that the key to being happy was to avoid excesses, because they end up causing anguish. Epicurus pointed out that the spirit must be cultivated on the pleasures of the flesh and that it is essential to find a middle point "

However, the Greek philosophers were not the only ones who were interested in unveiling the secrets of happiness. Spinoza, for example, thought that to be happy it is necessary that we strip ourselves of the chains that imply the passions and that we come to understand the world that surrounds us, only then will we stop feeling fear and hatred. The rationalists claimed that the key lies in knowing the reality, this knowledge allows us to accept the events and, therefore, be happier.

Over the years there have been philosophers, such as Nietzsche, says "that the human being has not been conceived to be happy, but is destined to suffer. Nor are there neuroscientists who try to reduce happiness to a series of biochemical changes that occur in our brain once we have satisfied our most desired desires.

But what is the secret of true happiness
Actually, there is no secret, the truth is always easy. Your true happiness will come to you after an exhausting search and thousands of achievements. And only then is when you realize who you are, why you live and where you are looking, you will experience true happiness. You will learn to live the moment of your life. Feel the presence of the highest in your life and in your heart. With his true purpose and the fulfillment of it, man becomes happy, just because he lives. Everything will have its true meaning, each day each time will be special and unique.
