Longing For Brighter Days

in #happiness5 years ago (edited)

It was no longer the atmosphere overwhelmed by tired adults, calculating how long until they could go back home to bed or sorting through morning emails. There was no longer teenagers in their gray tracksuits messing around on bikes playing the lamest rappers known to mankind. No longer did old men read the newspaper in the morning. Everybody had glazed over eyes and big black bags under them. It was like the colour had been wiped from the underground. She thought back to her journey to the station, it wasn't just the underground. The whole city was grey, it was like life, hope and passion was being sucked out daily.

We all struggle to see the pure beauty in our everyday life. It's not hard to lack passion and motivation with our repetitive lives. It's time to address the issues and improve our quality of life each day. Do you think you deserve to be happy? Of course you do, everybody does. Unfortunately, happiness is not something that can be taught or bought. True happiness needs to be worked on day in, day out.

For me, I'm going to write until I no longer see the world as a dull.

Recently, I've been writing a short story. With any luck, I'll get it to you soon :)
