Just Start and the Energy to Do the Rest of the Work Will Come.

Procrastination is the killer of hopes and dreams, but what can you do in order to put a stop to this?

Procrastination is the consistent thought pattern which prevents you from doing something that you need to do, for instance, if you have to go exercise but you may fill up your day or distract yourself with other things in order to not do the exercise and use that as an excuse for why you have not done it. This is a difficult thing to deal with especially because it can incrementally become worse, the more you procrastinate the harder it becomes to get the work done because you build up resistant to doing that particular thing.

What can you do to prevent this?

Well, the psychology behind procrastination is that you avoid doing something that you do not want to do because it requires effort or some kind of investment. But the quick method to eliminate procrastination is to just start.

For instance, you have a blog post to write but don't know how to go about it? Well, all you have to do it just type the first sentence or maybe two and then all of a sudden you will start finding the energy and work ethic you need to just get it completed. It is hard to start, but it is harder to quit once you have started.

Therefore, all you need to DO is JUST START!

The hardest part of doing anything is to get started. The human brain is literally hardwired to complete unfinished tasks. So in theory, you just have to start. Your brain will do the rest.

Great one @zous. Keep up the good work.

Yes that is crazy, thank you, for your comment ;)

I agree with you.
I read somewhere to act within the first 5 seconds when you think of doing something you would otherwise put off.

Thank you! Yes haha, I have heard that as well. 1.. 2.. 3..
