Illustrated Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets Book Review

in #harrypotter7 years ago (edited)

JK Rowling does not stop working! And just when we thought that she’s finally moving on from the magical world of Harry Potter, she surprises us all with a brand new edition of illustrated Harry Potter books. Several of these books have been released already, such as:

1) Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone - Illustrated by Jim Kay
2) Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets - Illustrated by Jim Kay
3) Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban - Illustrated by Jim Kay
4) *Harry Potter Illustrated Box Set*

Up until Prisoner of Azkaban, It seemed like we would get a new illustrated book roughly every 9 to 12 months. We can only hope that they continue to create these books They'd be crazy if they didn't

This is perfect book set to grow up with, and the illustrated series provides a fun new way to experience Harry Potter. The later books do get a bit darker, and the illustrated series does it great justice. We had the opportunity to enjoy in the first illustrated book - Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone since October 2015. And now people cannot wait to get their hands on them all!

Jim Kay, award-winning illustrator, and a self-proclaimed Harry Potter fan who isn't tho?, illustrated the box set in large format, full-colored images. Each book features over 100 gorgeous images and as always you can pick it up in spanish or pick it up in french

As most of you know, the second book features Harry’s second year at Hogwarts. The excitement starts even before the year has officially began. During the summer break, when at the Privet Drive, Harry receives a warning from a curious creature.

Slowly, a dark mystery unfolds - I will not ruin the surprise for anyone who hasn't read it yet. We continue to follow Harry and his friends as they are put in situations where they must use magic beyond what they thought is possible. As always they're tested in many ways, but overcome using the golden trio intelligence, wit and cunning. Oh, and some magic of course!

Harry goes from The Boy Who Lived, to a suspected cause of this year’s disasters, Harry will have to bring all of his courage like never before in order to defeat Voldemort. shouldnta said tha'

Everyone can find something for themselves in this gorgeous release. If you’ve never read Harry Potter, be blown away by the Harry Potter illustrated series.

Jim Kay has the ability not only to capture the characters, but to magically breathe life into them.

The magical touch makes this book a perfect gift for any potterhead friend or family member. Warning, you may read this book too fast. It's easy to do. Believe me I learned from experience, but since there are many high quality illustrations, I found that there is always something new and exciting to see! Also you can put it open on your pottershelf.

You can judge me for keeping a pottershelf, but I believe everyone should keep a small part of what made them so happy as a child so they can share that with people closest to them.

Dang! We just started re-reading the series to our little boys (11 and 8) who haven't had the pleasure yet. Your summary is a good foretaste, and thanks for linking to the illustrated versions! That has to be on the wish list!

That's so exciting! I share my copy with a friend, we have a big shared bookshelf of nerdy knickknacks and books. Are you guys still on the first book? :)

Yep. Second or third time around for the read-aloud. It's awesome.

I'm also monitoring my spoilers so let me know if I go too far or if you want a little extra info from my posts, leave a comment ^^

Nice, my brother is big fan of Harry Potter..... he loves magical world!!
Upvoted and followed :)

Is your brother going to join Steemit too?

Exciting! Tell him to comment on something of mine and we'll follow him back.

Thanks! I did not know this happened. I know I needed you! :)

They're so gorgeous. My friend @mypotterquotes has most of them, if not all.

I am looking forward to seeing them.
