A visit to Seaside Mountain resort on the Hawaii Island, Hawaii
Seaside Mountain Resort in Hawaii
I am on a business trip the Hawaii Island, the biggest of the six main islands of the 128 island Hawaiian Island Chain. I stayed at the Seaside Mountain Resort.
I took these just as the sun was setting, so the sky has a nice orange and red glow.
So named because it is were the mountain meets the sea.
As a Hawaiian vacation destination it has Hawaiian Totem poles called Tiki.
I am staying at this lovely hotel on a work related trip. I had a day off to catch up on my sleep after being on duty for 24 hours and after fixing dinner ventured out to find a laundry mat and explore the compound.
It’s an hour before sunset, so I won’t have light long for pictures. My first stop was a scenic point near the pool. The resort, like most, is near to the beach, so visitors can swim in the ocean, but invariably spend a fair amount of time in the hotel pool.
Golf Course
These are shots of the hotel golf course. It closed for maintenance, but the hotel sits above it and the view is 180 degrees of grass, trees and just beyond it ocean.

Graveyard near the Golf Course
Apparently if real estate developers find old graves they build rock walls around them and the hotel assign people to maintain them just like the other Parts of the grounds they maintain.

Hotel Architecture
The hotel is a series of attached townhomes. A wood exterior, including wood roofs..
Mauna Loa
There are lovely views of the surrounding mountains: this one is called Mauna Loa, which means long mountain in Hawaiian
The Pacific Ocean or Peaceful Ocean
Last Words
It’s a very nice place to stay, and I enjoyed it.
I love traveling for work, and exploring the State/Province I live in. Next year I hope to expand my work travels to other States/Provinces and eventually other countries.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.
