I Quit Eating for 28 Days

To Lose Weight
For Better Health
To Attain an Elevated State of Consciousness
To be more like Jesus, for Jesus Fasted for 40 days

I Ran Out Of Money.

I took a Leap of Faith with Steemit, and it didn't turn out so well, so I started fasting.

Day 11 of 28

Today was definitely a slump day for me. Mind was a mess, desire for food higher than since the beginning of this journey. Added on top of some personal emotional turmoil from family matters led to to day being a pretty slow day to say the least.

I had a cup of black coffee with nothing added yesterday which was a mistake. Some people drink black coffee during their fast, and the allure of ‘Free’ was simply too much, even for someone who wasn’t eating at all.

The issue started when I could not sleep at night, though I had drank coffee many hours before. However, given that there is literally nothing in my stomach right now, the effects of caffeine were way stronger.

Hunger pangs and desire for hunger was raised very much today, and the desires of caving were quite high. I attribute this to the fact I probably reawakened my stomach. Even though there were no calories within the coffee, it was simply more than water and I guess even that sets off your stomach. At least in my case.

This led to a terribly shitty morning, added with emotional turmoil from family matters.

Mentally, I was more or less a mess today. Could not concentrate and productivity in the gutter. All in all, not such a great day.

However, my resolve still held, and I am trudging along. Though I may have reactivated my stomach, I’m sure the fact that there we actually no calories to consume will soon shut it down once again.

Don't Mess With Your Gut When Fasting

This goes to show that having your gut shut down completely during an extended fast is very much paramount to success. I will have to take a back seat, absorb the blow of my mistake and suffer a little consequence for it, however overall I am quite fine.

It is a learning experience and I will know why I shouldn’t do it next time.

That will be all for today, and I aim to bring much more tomorrow like I usually do.

Till tomorrow,

God Speed Brethren.

NO WAY! coffee when hungry for an extended amount of time = these weird shakes and inability to clench a strong fist, while feeling like the world is warping around you! PUSH ON AND BE STRONG!

I definitely learned from my mistake and paid quite a heavy price for it today! Almost feel a level of poisonous if I think about it. Obviously it is much more intense considering there is nothing else in your gut.

Thank you for the support I really really appreciate it!! Will definitely keep strong! I'm almost half way there!!!

hahaha, i think there is hilarity in misery. You're actually over a 1/3rd of the way there!!!!

I quite coffee a few months back, and one week where I was eating less than 1,000 calories a day, I decided to drink a cup, mostly because it was free and offered to me. I felt really really messed up for a bit. Haven't touched it since!

Indeed there is! Mostly after the misery has passed however 😅😅

This is a really tough one for a lot of people! I'm still on the fence about it as I do bloody love coffee a little too much. However before this fast I wouldn't even feel the coffee anymore. I'd like to change the relationship to somewhere along the lines where I drink it sparingly.

Given how I want to adjust my diet to once a day however, I don't think there will be many opportunities to drink coffee any more for me as well!

It's always fine to take a rest when needed. Setbacks happen, but there's always new day tomorrow.

Thanks for the encouraging words! I am finally getting better again!

That's good to hear.
