Understanding Amnesia; loss of memory.
The world today is drowned in forgetfulness . Humans are prone to forget things. Where are the car keys ,my phone, wallet, the Tv remote.. HA! The common man sees amnesia as a regular phase of life.
But what happens when amnesia goes awry, when the loss of memory is not temporary? What do you do? Firstly, let us u understand what amnesia is about.
AMNESIA
Amnesia is a defect of the memory palace. It is a disease that affects the individual's capacity to store memories or remember things. The disease affects the part of the brain located in the temporal lobe consisting mainly of grey matter–the hippocampus. It plays a role in memories and emotion.
The most shocking is that amnesia not only affects past but sometimes the it also affects the future. Surprisingly, amnesia are of two major types; Retrograde and Anterograde.
Retrograde amnesia is the inability of a person to remember past events. Everything that happened in that victim's life prior to the accident is forgotten. The victim becomes no different from a new born. No life, family and the victim forgets his/her name.
Anterograders on the other hand lose the ability to create new memories. Life for them ends at the point the disease develops. They can't keep relationships or marriages because they might forget who they said yes to. Everyday doesn't present a new opportunity to them upmaking it seem like they're stuck in time. To me, this is not something you see everyday.

Amnesia is not just the random, common, cliche everyday loss of memory scenes we see around us. People experience deeper scenes with these every single day of their lives .
Let us be grateful that we can remember our past and reminiscent the future but most importantly experience the present. The retrograde patient has no past, the anterograders have no future but they share one thing in common–the here and now.
The present matters as much as anything else.
