Dear Diary: Things For Me To Be Grateful And Thankful For Today

My dialysis session went fine today although going home with a high blood pressure makes me disappointed but I can't do anything about anyway but to be grateful that at least for one, I finished my session without my blood pressure crashing on me and terminating it at the same time. So I am happy and glad that I gracefully exited the dialysis center without much of a fuss.

I am thankful until today that I am no longer requiring blood transfusions. It is one of the mysteries of my condition because I do not know where the hemoglobin was coming from. I know that it was coming from the bone marrow but to get generated from the marrow the body needs a source of erythropoeitin hormone that will come only from the kidneys.

Even though I can get some free blood via my Church which I belong with, the effort of requesting for it is hard as I have to call the blood bank and request through the phone in the at so early at dawn considering my speech impediment I am just relieved that the pesky transfusions are no longer needed. So I thank God for that miracle.

Not only I am no longer requiring it but my blood has a high hemoglobin content so now I do not look like a zombie anymore, I am no longer pale, and it cured my insomnia too which makes me not to require sleeping pills too. I am just one of those fortunate dialysis patients that seem to be given a miracle in life.

Also I went home today much lighter than before, it means that I have an additional allowance for fluids to take until Tuesday for my next dialysis. My breathing again had eased up a bit so I might sleep better this night. Glory be to God because of his unspeakable gifts for me.
