RE: The Resilient African Spirit Vs Coronavirus

in #health5 years ago (edited)

I'm sorry man, but the idea that black people have resistance to the virus is an extremely dangerous, fallacious conclusion based on the numbers. Please don't let this idea make you complacent - we must all prepare for this pandemic, every one among us.

Complacency is the most dangerous thing in a pandemic, after the virus itself. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst.

Truth is, i'm far from been complacent. There was a news on cnn about scientist wondering why Blacks are less affected by the virus, it sparked an outrage: the point that vexed many Africans is that, the Western world thinks the worse of the viral outbreak but mysteriously they were disappointed. That's the idea behind this short blog, not complacency at all. I mean Sanitizers became very scarce and expensive but we use Alcohol to sanitize our hands often, that shows how extremely cautious we can be despite that news.

That is good to hear. It is a very serious situation for everyone in my view.
