Do you feel a little off, tired or sick or all? How I came back from feeling like I was dying , hopefully it would help you!

in #health8 years ago (edited)

A few years ago I literally thought I was losing my mind 😱. I had my two little girls and started getting infections from breast feeding. At first I passed it off that I didn't feel well because my body had been through so much in a couple years (carrying and giving birth to 2 children, breastfeeding them both all while working a couple of jobs, living the grind that we all do and taking care of my two other older children) Don't worry men , sounds like my solution won't have anything to do with you but hold on!

I would get breast infections, take antibiotics, feel a little better, get bronchitis, take antibiotics, feel a little better, get a sinus infection, take antibiotics, feel a little better..... This cycle continued for a few years. Eventually I was having almost every side effect you could think of , nausea, brain fog, fatigue, the list went on. I got desperate & decided the normal pharmaceutical route was not helping, if anything making me worse as now my mental state was NOT well. I had been to  a lung specialist , a cardiologist, even an oncologist since my white blood cell count was concerningly low. No results! I felt like I was literally deteriorating but at the same time nothing was "wrong with me"? That's when depression kicks in. You feel like no one understands, you have no answers, people are counting on you and you can hardly get through a day. Mind you all this time I look completely normal. I had lost weight so people would even comment on how great I looked after having had 2 children almost back to back & being in my 30's (yes everyone, having children in your 20's is much easier on your body! In case that wasn't a given) People going through chemotherapy (which I absolutely can not fathom how they go through that & every inch of my being goes out to anyone going through that) , they usually lose hair & other features occur in which someone could safely assume that they are battling a serious heath issue. Me, I looked completely normal (except my hair had thinned out since I began getting infection) so when I told people how I felt, it seemed like they didn't take me seriously or thought I was exaggerating. At that point I'm feeling like a basket case.

We visit Mexico frequently, I do all my dental work there in which I am much more comfortable than any dentist in the USA, so why not give it a try for other health issues? Seriously I had nothing to lose at that point. I saw a chiropractor whom also specialized in immune systems. After filling out paperwork, getting a physical exam & talking for a bit she said with the utmost confidence "You are either allergic to dairy or wheat or both" . I was confused, shocked, even a little upset, I just wasted all the very little time, energy & money I had left for her to tell me some quacky Diagnosis that she pulled out of thin air?!?!?! By the way I LOVE ❤️ all foods with carbs, breads, cookies, pasta, etc. (yes I also eat vegetables, fruits, lean protein) but there was no way that was my problem 1st of all, 2nd off all, I could never give up gluten, it's in almost everything anyway so to me that was nonsense & impossible. My boss at the time had an allergy to gluten/wheat, she would have extreme stomach issues, our issues were not the same , therefore with my great medical expertise (that was sarcastic by the way) I concluded there was no way she was correct. I continued my life of constantly being sick & being mad at the world that no one could help. Never giving up on prayer but always feeling quite defeated.

Well you know the saying "Everything happens for a reason".....  I have always back & neck pain due to car accident I was in , I have a condition in which the muscles around my neck & spine have deteriorated and it's extremely easy for my to pull something or knock something out of place so that I experience a great deal of pain on top of my other ailments. Of course you knew it was coming, I had pulled my neck one day & needed some sort of relief for that so I went to another chiropractor for my pain issue here in the states. After the same sort of exam as the chiropractor in Mexico had done he told me "you have a wheat or dairy allergy, or both" my mouth must've dropped to the floor, I was thinking "is this something all chiropractors are trained to say when their patients feel crappy"? Now I was starting to feel like I knew why some people call them quacks. These crazy granola eating , tree hugging folks must want everyone to go on their weird diet that discludes all things yummy to eat.

He said he had a gluten allergy and and it effected his sinuses also. He explained that not only does your body react to an allergy with inflation but depending on the food it produces extra mucus (yuck, I know) . He said try 60 days without wheat or dairy or one at a time for 60 days each and just see how you feel. Well I was desperate and if the 2 chiropractors had told me the exact same thing, what kind of sign was that to at least just give it a try, I had to. I'm sure you took a pretty good guess that it worked or I wouldn't be going on about it😉

To make a long story short it was very hard at first (sometimes still is) . I actually am more "allergic" to wheat than I am dairy so I can still have a little dairy (thank God!) but what I really want to get across is that our food is no longer what it used to be; it has been modified, sprayed, hormoned, and God only knows what else. There are so many ailments caused by food allergies and I said allergies in parentheses earlier because I had blood tests in which no food "allergies" tested positive for. You can have an intollerance but your body acts like its allergic. Same thing to me, I feel crappy when I eat it so I dont care what it's called but I do want people to be aware that doctors and tests cant always tell you something that you may have to pay attention to your body to find out.

Now my body is still recovering from what all the antibiotics did to it. A heads up to those who don't know already, our bodies need some bacteria, some is good, it is balanced. Mine got wiped away so I need to take probiotic.  Also, a good healthy immune system has to be able to fight off the bad guys sometimes on it's own. I know you've heard a million times to make sure you have a healthy diet. Well, not knowing that wheat is almost poison to many if not all now would help in knowing how to have healthy diet . The chemical Glyphosate used in Round Up weed killer is now being found when tested for in EVERDAY foods mostly those containing wheat 🌾 & 🌽 Corn. I don't know about you but I never asked for a side of carcinogen chemical with my dinner but sadly that's what's in our food now.

This is a great article if you want a good long detailed explanation of why wheat is now basically poison, don't take my word for I just wanted to share a more personal, more human story so people can know that it's not only trendy west coast hippies that are "gluten free" for the fad, it's an actual poison that could be making you or someone you know very sick.   http://www.thehealthyhomeeconomist.com/real-reason-for-toxic-wheat-its-not-gluten/

I will be posting more about ways to make being gluten free or dairy free (one of my daughters is allergic to dairy) a little more painless. I hope that anyone having ailments that they just can't figure out may be willing to give it a try (cutting wheat and or dairy same time or different times for 60 days) If you feel no change whatsoever then go back to eating all you want but let me tell it is DEFINITELY worth a try! I do miss flour tortillas, cookies and pasta but not as much as I'd miss feeling better! I have tried to cheat every now and then and every time end up with an infection days later so I just have to reside with the fact that  wheat makes me sick period.

And a big shout out to anyone that stands by someone who is ill. I know it must be hard having more of a workload to make up for someone else's lack thereof . My amazing husband was that person for me , if I didn't have him there is no way I could've kept my job, taken care of our kids and mostly kept my sanity. Please be kind and patient to people that are sick, it goes a very long way. More importantly, have them or yourself if you're the sick one give cutting out certain foods a try!

Cheers to being more happy, healthy and present in this life that God blessed us with.

Thank you! It goes deep with WHO is poisoning our foods. I want to gather all my research about Monsanto , the evil company that modifies our food and who allows them to do so to try to do an organized Truth bomb on them. I appreciate your kind comment!

Your post has so much untold truth in it and i would say shocking facts too. And the diagnosis the docs gave too. I feel all tired too and week with all the pains you described but i would never ever think in the direction of food allergy as possible cause. There is so much insight. Glad to know with an adjusted diet you can get to back to full health! Gave you little support to this post. Hope it gets seen more.

Definitely try eliminating wheat, my mind even got more clear, I used to feel like I was in a fog. Your pain could be due to inflammation when your body is getting something constantly put into it that it doesn't know what to do with. Wheat is linked to skin ailments like psoriasis also and what do you know, psoriasis medications also help arthritis, now they are linking both of them also to wheat . Pretty crazy. I really hope you feel better! Remember stay as hydrated as possible too. I thank you for your kind comments also !

Alot said in this comment! Thinking one thing to work on based on this comment is "staying hydrated". Don't get to eat much wheat but alot learned still from your comment here. And since your are new, join us here: https://discord.gg/2rmtwGy
