Simplicity is Always Better

Losing weight isn’t hard.

Seriously, it’s not. A lot of us make it hard on ourselves by forcing the body against the mind. Whichever side wins, as a whole, the person loses no matter what.

Why rage an internal bloody civil war when we have the choice to move together in the same direction, towards a common goal: to lose weight.

No one side needs to lose, in order for the other to win.

It’s always better to have a win-win.

My last post, the Goldilocks’ Three Bowls plan, laid out the foundation for smart & flexible meal planning, without any calorie counting, or strenuous exercise (that’s a bonus, not a requirement).

The whole philosophy behind this new thinking is to align the body (to feel satiated everyday) and the mind (to consistently lose weight). When you can do both, your weight will drop, almost effortlessly. You simply need to wrap your head around this concept and fully embrace it. Don’t try to do too much, too soon. Stick with the basic 3 principles as outlined (plus #4 for special occasions), and you’re good to go!

It really is that simple.

Took me a long time to arrive at this conclusion. Once I did, I couldn’t believe how quickly my weight dropped and stayed off. All those early years of exercising like crazy, only to get injured, or starving myself, only to go on a crazy binge. None of those things worked in the long term.

It’s not about self discipline, that comes later.

It’s about behavioral change, which starts between the ears.

Don’t work harder in ways that never gave you the desired results. Think differently and try a new way.

Body + Mind = FTW!

For me, simplicity is the mother of penetration.
