Why you should try High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)!

in #health8 years ago (edited)

High-intensity interval training or HIIT is a style of cardio that involves alternating between short periods of maximum intensity cardio and brief breaks in between. An example of an HIIT workout is a 15-minute run, where you cycle between walking for 2 minutes then sprinting for 1 minute.

Aside from feeling amazing, here's a few real benefits to HIIT and why you should try it sometime!

  • Compared to regular cardio, HIIT causes your body to keep burning calories for up to 2 hours after exercising!
  • You only have to dedicate half the time to HIIT to burn the same amount of calories compared to traditional cardio.
  • HIIT is surprisingly better for your cardiovascular health than moderate, typical cardio

I like HIIT, especially jumping rope and abs combination. And after swimming :)

Nothing shreds fat off your body quicker than HIIT man! Awesome stuff, steem on!
