How to cure your frequent headaches

in #health7 years ago

Headache is not really an ailment but an indication of a sort of disorderliness in the complex human body. There are several causes of headache and the next time you experience it don't bother to use a pill or visit a General Practitioner unless it's severe.

Here are some of the causes:

  1. Lack of adequate rest
  2. Dehydration
  3. Stress
  4. Malnutrition
  5. Toxification

If you don't sleep well, there are high chances that your brain will attempt to draw blood from any part of your body in order to function properly. When this happens, your liver an other sensitive parts of the system won't perform optimally while your heart will struggle to pump blood as expected. An adult need to sleep for about 6-8 hours a day.

  1. Dehydration: People that are fond of avoiding water in favour of sugary drinks are at the risk of having headaches. Water is needed in our body and the percentage has to be about 70%. You need to drink plenty of water a day. For people living in the tropics, go for 10 glasses of water daily. Water is life.

  2. Stress: When you don't rest and overwork, you are bound to have some sort of numbness and dizziness after a while. If you don't work on your work-life balance, you are compelling your body to "protest". Headache is the number one protestant in this case.

  3. Toxification: Avoid the intake of caffeine-products like coffee or kola. Any product that has caffeine can lead to high bood pressure and also affect the flow of blood to your brain. The component that makes you to stay awake when you take cafffeinated drinks disrupts the nervous system. Stay away from unhealthy drink/food. Eat more of vegetables and go for smoothies or moderate amount of chocolate drink.

I get headaches because of eye strain. Going to an optometrist may help you. Good post @inspirati

Thanks. You can also enable blue light filter on your mobile device.

Whats that? how does it help?

On a Samsung phone, if you drag the tab from the top of the screen, you will see "blue light filter". Ensure it's enabled. Blue light is one of the reasons people find it difficult to sleep on time and one can experience headache when you don't sleep well. TV and mobile devices emit blue light.

I'm on iPhone 4 :( hahaha so what I read it won't work, but I'm going to install Flux on my computer to make it easier. Thank you inspirati! followed!

On an iPhone:
Open the Settings.
Go to General -> Accessibility -> Zoom.
Turn on Zoom.
Quickly tap three times, with three fingers, anywhere on the iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad screen.
Tap on Choose Filter.
Select Low Light.
