ONLY ONCE
She was from a Christian background. Her name was Jasmine. Yes, from the first day she started seeing her menses, she was told that she was not a child anymore and thus should be "careful" with the opposite sex.
Her parents were loving, they were her support in all facets of life.
At 18, she was still a virgin, untouched, undefiled. She graduated on top of her class and was given a scholarship into the most prestigious university in the Country.
She got into the university with high hopes and everything was fine until her final year in medical school when she met Oliver.
Oliver was all she wanted in a partner. He was funny, intelligent, smart and nice. He was also a medical student in his final year. They met during a competition organised nationwide for final year medical students in various schools in the Country.
However, Oliver had broken up with his girlfriend because he discovered she was cheating. He later got talking with Jasmine and they started dating. Though they were in different medical schools and had final year academic workload to deal with, their love waxed strong.
On the 14th of february which was a Friday,they decided to meet and talk about their future. The night was so high with emotions and they later had sex.
Jasmine was not disturbed about losing her virginity to Oliver. She was sure she loved him. They later spent the weekend together, had more sex and left for their respective schools on sunday evening.
Oliver was not a virgin. He had had sex with his previous girlfriend more than twice.
3 months later, Jasmine was sick with a serious fever and on routine examination, she was found to be HIV positive.
She cried bitterly. How could it be? She only had sex with Oliver. In anger she called Oliver and accused him of intentionally infecting her with the virus. He was confused and called his previous girlfriend who admitted she was positive.
On this other end, a lot of thoughts ran through Jasmine's mind. HOW WOULD SHE TELL HER PARENTS.
