There's Three types of alcohol;

  • Isopropyl, known as rubbing alcohol among physicians, to rub the substance onto surfaces, tools and human bodies for its cooling and disinfecting properties. Produced by combining water and propylene, rubbing alcohol works well for sterilization. Its high evaporation rate makes it a common choice for cleaning electronics, although it is found in everyday cleaning products

  • Methyl, known as methanol or wood alcohol, primarily finds use as an industrial solvent. For example, paint remover and photocopier developers make use of it. People with experience and know-how also use methyl alcohol to make other chemicals. Formaldehyde forms as a byproduct of degrading methanol, some industries use this byproduct to make everything from plastics to explosives.

  • Ethyl, known as ethanol which only alcohol that human can consume. produced by fermentation of grains, fruits, or other sources of sugar. Ethanol is known for its ability to alter mood and behavior

in this post i specifically mention "alcohol" as to ethanol alcohol type for our own body. in normal consumtion it's effect being use for reduces stress and increases feelings of happiness for temporary time.

  • According to Anderson, P. & Baumberg, B report that Moderate alcohol consumption alcohol in low doses may reduces the risk of coronary heart disease, with 80% reduced risk at a consumption of 20g alcohol per day
Beyond that, the risk of heart disease increases, being more than the risk of an abstainer
With heavy drinking, any potential benefits are outweighed by greater risks.

As the concentration of alcohol in the bloodstream (BAC levels) increases, the body's functions and behaviors change
At specific BAC levels the effects are:

  • BAC .02% Judgment, inhibitions, and emotions begin to be affected and results are increased relaxation and excessive talking

  • BAC .06% Reaction time is decreased, coordination is affected, but neither may be very obvious

  • BAC .10% Vision, speech, balance, perception and self control are affected

  • BAC .18% Walking and standing are noticeably affected. (walking a straight line, buttoning a coat)

  • BAC .20% Memory is impaired, the brain centers for intelligence, emotions and sensory motor abilities are affected; cannot think clearly and become excited or angered easily

  • BAC .30% The body is thrown into a complete state of confusion and the signs are: slurred speech, double vision, hearing impairment, difficult or impossible to judge distances, no longer able to walk normally and sudden mood changes

  • BAC .40% The brain can barely function and the nervous system is ineffective ; the person is unconscious or almost unconscious; the body may seem frozen or barely able to move, vomiting or uncontrolled urination may occur

  • BAC .50% A person slips into a coma; breathing, heart action and blood pressure are decreased drastically to a dangerously low point; the brain cannot control body temperature; death can and often does occur.

There's a list of negative effect of alcohol According to gastroenterologist K. V. Narayanan Menon, MD :

  • Drinking alcohol gives your body work to do that keeps it from other processes. Once you take a drink, your body makes metabolizing it a priority — above processing anything else. Unlike proteins, carbohydrates and fats, your body doesn’t have a way to store alcohol, so it has to move to the front of the metabolizing line. This is why it affects your liver, as it’s your liver’s job to detoxify and remove alcohol from your blood.

  • Abusing alcohol causes bacteria to grow in your gut, which can eventually migrate through the intestinal wall and into the liver, leading to liver damage.

  • Too much is bad for your heart. It can cause the heart to become weak (cardiomyopathy) and have an irregular beat pattern (arrhythmias). It also puts people at higher risk for developing high blood pressure.

  • People can develop pancreatitis, or inflammation of the pancreas, from alcohol abuse.
Drinking too much puts you at risk for some cancers, such as cancer of the mouth, esophagus, throat, liver and breast.

  • It can affect your immune system. If you drink every day, or almost every day, you might notice that you catch colds, flu or other illnesses more frequently than people who don’t drink. This is because alcohol can weaken the immune system and make the body more susceptible to infections.

According to the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), alcoholic beverages are classified by as a Group 1 carcinogen (carcinogenic to humans). IARC classifies alcoholic beverage consumption as a cause of female breast, colorectum, larynx, liver, esophagus, oral cavity, and pharynx cancers; and as a probable cause of pancreatic cancer.

3.5% of cancer deaths worldwide are attributable to consumption of alcohol (also known formally as ethanol).
