As Dementia increases across the planet, more celebrities are now spreading the message, for those who can longer speak for themselves.

Here are the 3 most successful celebrity campaigns, that have sparked conversation about Dementia, throughout the world....

Christopher Eccleston (Share this film about an Orange)-

Best known for his leading role in the TV show Doctor Who, Christopher Eccleston stands as a passionate advocate for Dementia-Awareness in the UK.
His recent video for the charity 'Alzheimer's Research', has left viewers feeling hopeful for the future, as he discusses the possibility of finding a cure for Alzheimer's.

In the video, Eccleston says "Alzheimer's physically attacks your brain, gradually destroying it, piece by piece. Until it strips away everything that makes you, you... And then you die."

He compares the human brain to an orange, which represents a similar weight to a brain, after Alzheimer's has taken its course.
According to Eccleston, the approximate weight of a suffer's brain is 140 grams lighter than a normal, healthy brain.

Celebrity's sing the Beatles (Chris Martin)-

In 2014, a number of British celebrity's came together, to record a cover of the Beatles track 'I get by with a little help from my friends'. The video includes famous faces like Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Simon Pegg and Ray Winstone. The focus of the video however, is on a British nurse named Gina, who recently discovered she had early onset Dementia.

Chris Martin (of Coldplay), has contributed in the past, by donating signed band memorabilia to the 'Alzheimer's Society'.

The charity who released this video ('Dementia Friends') have made a great contribution to the fight against Dementia, by Bringing celebrity's together, to raise awareness in a fun, exciting way.

Hilarity for charity (Seth Rogen)-

Every year, 'Hollywoods favourite stoner' Seth Rogen, holds a charity variety show, called 'Hilarity for charity'. This event raises awareness for Dementia and Alzheimer's, as well as including top class performances from actors such as jack black, Joseph Gordon Levvit and Samuel Jackson. Since its beginnings in 2012, Hilarity for Charity have raised over $5.1 million towards the costs of Dementia care, for struggling families.

Rogen watched his mother in law suffer with Alzheimer's for over 6 years. He decided to make the best out of the situation, by bringing people together, and making them laugh, as well as presenting great points about Dementia along the way.

All of the celebrities mentioned, are doing their best to raise awareness for Dementia-research and care.
