RE: Using Selfies To Screen For Pancreatic And Liver Disorders
I think the use of phones, tablets, and other devices for medicine really is fascinating. Its really neat that doctors can use things like selfies to diagnose patients. Last year my mom was in the emergency room because we thought she had a stroke. One doctor came in with a tablet with a doctor at another hospital on a video conference call. The tablet doctor game my mom's doctor instructions on where to examine her and he talked to my mom. He was able to diagnose her by looking at her on his tablet screen even though he was a few hours away. She had Bells Palsy which her young doctor hadn't seen before. I was surprised by of the whole process.
