In this part to the Sugar Series I'll be looking at the physical effects of eating excess added sugars has on our bodys. We shall learn what illness have been linked with added sugars and take a look also at other body parts that get damaged by eating too much sugar.

Tooth Decay

The obvious one that most people now about it the damaging effects sugar has on our teeth, but the not so known fact is that with soda's, it is not just the sugar that damages our teeth.

I can clearly remember at school, we did an experiment with a child's tooth in a glass and then added a can of CocaCola to it before we went home for the day. The next morning we came back to school and saw that the tooth had completely disappeared - the cola had dissolved it to my surprise, and here is a clear diagram showing why it did that.

The average Ph of CocaCola or Pepsi is 2.8 - 3.4 compared to tap water is say on average of 7 - 7Ph is neutral which means its neither acidic or alkaline, and the lower the Ph number, the more acidic it is. Did you know you can clean old metals to get them shiny again and removes rust, or can be also used as a Toilet Cleaner or even added to wash detergent to clean grease and stains from clothes or as a Window Cleaner?

The Extra Problem with fizzy drink's.

Before I get to the sugar, its very worth to touch upon the Acidity of sodas that are damaging our teeth firstly before the added sugars does.

We take a swig of cola and the acid then starts to attack out teeth which lasts around 20 minutes before becoming less acidic before our saliva neutralizes it. This means that for each sip we take from a bottle the 20 minute attack starts all over again leaving us with multiple "20 minute attacks" on our teeth by the time we finished the glass or bottle. Here is a picture of someones teeth which have been damaged by the acid in colas to the left above.

Back to the Sugar!

Tooth decay occurs when we eat to much sugary foods and drinks because the sugar is food for bacteria's already found in our mouths. The bacteria is actually in the plaque, that hard stuff found stuck to the teeth. I have quite a lot behind my bottom front teeth and am lucky not to eat so much sugar or my teeth would most likely start decaying. I haven't been to a dentist in 18 years which to some is quite unheard of, but I have no wholes in my teeth or any fillings either, which reminds me I could go get the plaque removed at some point soon!

The plaque starts off as a sticky slime which gives a nice place for bacteria to live, it sounds mad that we have bacteria in our mouths - and even more bacteria's than what is found around a public toilet seat. Here is an epic plaque problem Below, so you can clearly see what plaque is. The person with these few teeth must really be in pain.

Plaque-Tooth.jpg

Once the bacteria has got enough food (sugar) then Gingivitis can happen which isn't nice at all. There's a lot of pain whilst brushing your teeth and the worst part is, if you want to heal yourself from gingivitis then you must keep brushing through the pain (and the blood) to remove that infected part of the gum. I had it twice whilst traveling, first time was after a summer of festivals, and most likely never once thought to brush the teeth, and the second was last year when I arrived to Norway. I actually use Himalayan pink salt and water to remove it because the first time I had not enough money to get organic toothpaste - and then in Norway I had money for an electric toothbrush, which are amazing!

It can even happen that a seed say from a poppy that you ate on a bread roll can get stuck in under a gum and then with the heat and moisture get infected easily by the bacteria looking for a nice cosy place to breed. I really have to clean my teeth after eating even sesame seeds as they get stuck in the place where I had the problems before and can get bad and cause pain.

Everybody has these bacteria's and everybody gets plaque, so if everybody is eating a diet consisting of high added sugar amounts, then everyone is prone to getting Gingivitis tooth decay - which would be terrible!

Illness's that are directly linked to excessive sugar intake.

There are simply way too many bad effects on our body's to make it worth while eating so much of it daily, its really insane when you see all the things it effects and creates..

  • Diabetes, Heart problems (that can start from gum infections) & Obesity.

  • Bad skin conditions such as acne, Accelerated Ageing process & Slowing down of cognitive functions of the brain.

  • Immune system is weakened, increasing the likely-hood of you becoming sick.

  • High blood pressure and Depression are linked also with taking excessive added sugar amounts.

  • Supports and encourages the Inflammation in joints of the body known as "Gout".

  • Depleting of Energy Levels for one's daily activity's.

The recent study's of white refined added sugar and its connection to Cancer.

To me it is just obvious that the governments who we (maybe once) trusted in, seem to be selling us things that are slowly killing us, just as if its normal to be doing so. If we look at the Vices available legally to buy, it is just alcohol and cigarettes, one containing high amounts of sugar and the other refined plant with various cancerous chemicals mixed in with it.

There have been at least two people who have created a cure for cancer and both of them were murdered and there workshop labs destroyed. This mixed with the sugar epidemic we see today, leads me to believe that someone wants us to all get cancer and not to find a cure for it. Correct me if im wrong?

There was a study made quite recently on mice, and the results were just stupendous- here are some quotes from the experiment and of which I have added the link to so you can go do your own research on it.

"50-58% of mice fed sucrose-enriched diet developed breast cancer.

Compared with mice fed the starch-control diet, those fed the sucrose- and fructose-enriched diets were more likely to develop breast cancer.

At the age of 6 months, for example, the team found 30% of the mice fed the starch-control diet had breast cancer tumors, compared with 50-58% fed the sucrose-enriched diet."

This information is from MedicalNewsToaday and this link will take you to an article about the mouse experiment.

I hope readers will start to think for themselves more and we can all start to become more healthy by avoiding the tricks used against us of which we think are there to help us, such as prepared meals for our convenience. It is Manipulation and it must be stopped, and the only way to stop it is to stop buying it!

Spread the word! If I eat too much, the next day I wake up with no energy and Im grumpy lol

The first picture of the teeth on the first picture could look like me if I keep sugar up. I think I'll make a post about my bad teeth to show people first hand from a Steemit user that sugars are really bad.

Thats a great idea😁 You should invest in an electric toothbrush.. These are the best at removing parts of food stuck in the gums and removes the slimey plaque before it sets hard like stone. Thanks for dropping by, and send me a link if you do make that post!

Will do. Thanks for the advice.

Tooth decay is caused by bacterium that feeds on sugars from food and drinks. That bacterium -- known as plaque -- will continue your teeth, manufacturing acids that eat through the enamel on your teeth. Saliva, that honorable first love, helps rinse out your mouth and neutralize that method.

Sugar is bad for the body, so it is better than stevia, it should be noted that everything in excess is bad, so you can not abuse the amounts of stevia that you place in your meals. Also, if you already decide to consume stevia, check before buying your ingredients, since many times it will be linked with another type of harmful sugar as well.
