The bush thats better than any pharmaceutical antibiotic!

in #health7 years ago (edited)

In today's day and age we have a lot more diseases than ever before, let's be honest, most of it is "our" own fault.

By "our" I really mean most of the world.
We sprinkle the soil in which we grow food with all kinds of chemicals, we induce certain genetic mutations to the plants that we eat and expect to believe it doesn't affect us.

So, over time diseases also evolved, and as they evolved we answered with chemically-engineered antibiotics.
At the time it actually may have seemed as a good idea, because results were great and successful.
But the antibiotics used years and years ago were also chemicals that, even though effective, are really harsh on the body.

How time progressed certain antibiotics somewhat start being less effective, actually meaning that certain sicknesses also evolve, so even stronger chemicals were introduced.
That actually brought us to today's situation, antibiotics don't actually seem to work anymore and a whole lot of new sicknesses are also emerging.

I stumbled upon Manuka Honey some time ago, which is probably well known to most of you.
I noticed that most people never seemed to pay much attention to it.
So it made me wonder if people know how healthy it actually is, and as such, what properties it has (you can somewhat guess by the introduction).

  • The UMF Explained

First of when it comes M.H. (Manuka Honey) we need to understand the UMF.
The UMF factor stands for Unique Manuka Factor.

The UMF indicates the level of antibacterial activity.
The UMF can also vary from each Leptospermum Scoparium (the bush that M.H. is made from) to the other.
We need to understand that when the UMF is 10 or below, it has barely any antibacterial activity present,
but from 25 and up it has been shown to be more effective than today's harsh and unresearched antibiotics.

  • Other Uses

M.H. is also great for treating Gastritis, prevents and repairs the colon, boosts immunity, is great for combating a flu (such as I did the first time I used M.H. and was in shock by how well it worked), is also anti-inflammatory and can be used to treat Tonsillitis, improves dental health and can also be used as a facial mask etc.
So the higher the UMF the better the results.

  • Overall Thoughts

Although my experience with M.H. is limited and have only been consuming it for not a long period of time,
I can say that when I got sick not too long ago it helped tremendously in my recovery.
I have spent the time ever since then, to explore and search around for people that have had experience with M.H. and have read around about people getting rid of all kinds of eczema, all the way to sinusitis etc.
And although it may not be that cheap, in my opinion it is definitely worth it, as you have much to gain, and nothing to lose!
