Medical professionals and CPR in end of life
first posted in Facebook and reposting it
We, the medical professionals, are missing the biggest truth of life- the death. It’s time to think and discuss openly how we should look at it (like planning/discussing birth). Are we disturbing them in RIP (rest in peace) by performing unnecessary CPR and other aggressive invasive procedures, which is both painful to the see (for family) and possibly the patient and financial cost/burden?
Personally I don't think cost or burden should come into death decisions. But quality of life (as the patient themselves judge's it) should.

in places where pt pay for healthcare, unfortunately the cost does influence decision. I agree with you that with public and professional awareness these decisions could be more peaceful.
