Build up your blood in one week with these natural foods
Let me start by saying this. Everyone needs blood; young and old, fat or thing, tall or short. But there are a few set of people who need it more than others. These set of people have more possibility of being low on Hemoglobin. They are: Pregnant women, menstruating women, patients in recovery from illnesses and growing children. At this stage especially for menstruating women, a lot of blood is being lost and if not replenished with iron-rich foods, can lead to Anemia (A condition in which the blood doesn't have enough healthy red blood cells).

Question: How can I boost my blood
@scarletmedia: Boost your blood in the following ways:
- Eat iron-rich foods
Iron-rich foods include all green leafy vegetables; spinach, apricot, broccoli. Pineapple, beef, meat, shrimp, liver, nuts (should be eaten with care to avoid allergic reactions), watermelon, almond, prunes, whole egg, oysters (sea food in general), apple, etc. - Increase your intake of Vitamin C-rich foods such as orange, bananas, etc
- Increase your intake of folic acid-rich foods such as peanuts, sprouts, wheat germ, beetroot, etc
- Eat whole grains. Stay away from pastas, white bread and cereals except those made from whole grains
- Avoid iron blockers, viz- coffee, tea, cola drinks, wine, beer, over the counter antacids, etc.
- Take nettle leaf to get a rich source of iron.
Nettle leaf is an herb that can be a rich source of iron and is customarily used to treat arthritis. Iron plays an important role in producing and absorbing hemoglobin. The more iron you take, the more hemoglobin will be produced.
Nettle leaf is available in many vitamin and supplement stores and online. It is available as an oil, in capsule form, and even as a tea.

Meat especially liver is a good blood builder as it contains a good amount of vitamin B12 and the highest iron content among meats. So I advice that meat should be used as a blood builder only by younger people such as children and youths because its high fat and cholesterol content is not at all healthy for older ones. Thanks for your observation and comment. I hope I've been able to answer your question.
