This article is a review article about resistant hypertension(rHTN) in general. rHTN is defined as blood pressure (BP) above the goal of therapy while taking 3 antihypertensive medications of different class at optimal doses, one of the classes being a diuretic, or the control of BP using 4 or more classes of medications.
