Bang on article, changes in sanitation rates were absolutely the primary factor in driving down disease infection rates. Vaccines piggybacked off this and falsely claimed to be the cause of the drop in infection rates. I've studied this data for many, many years and it's very obvious when looking at the graphs for both declines in disease rates and changes in sanitation as compared to when certain vaccines where introduced into the population.
