After reanalyzing that data on more than 200 existing studies, researches concluded that moderate coffee consumption is safe and “more likely to benefit health than to harm it.” Findings were published Nov. 22 in The BMJ, a British medical Journal. The sweet spot appears to be three to four cups per day. That’s the range that researchers say is associated with the lowest risk of heart disease and death compared to non-coffee drinkers.
