Should Healthcare be Free?

Would you rather have high quality healthcare for a low cost, or low quality healthcare for free?

The current status of healthcare is mediocre quality for a high cost. The solution is not to lower the quality to make healthcare free. The answer is to raise the quality of healthcare and make it more affordable.

How to do that? Get government out of healthcare completely. The current problems in the healthcare industry exist because of a multitude of government regulations and subsidies, which, contrary to their intentions, actually drive up costs.

Eliminate government interferences, make healthcare more of a true free market, and competition will drive the cost down for the consumer while increasing the quality. Free healthcare sounds nice, but you get what you pay for, and “free” is never really free.
