Fighting Diabetes

in #health6 years ago

Ten years ago, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance, which were very advanced. Even though my body changes and the ailments that I suffered show exactly this, I could never put myself at my own age, until my doctor says you can even go into a coma when he comes out that door.

In my hand I returned to my home with the weight of 15 kilos that should be given urgently, the 3,000 mg prescription to be taken daily, and the new life recommendations that my doctor had drawn. Normally dried legumes, which are filled with spices, but filled with junk food in every single house I opened the cellar.

I packed all the packaged products, chips, waffles, chocolates, biscuits into a garbage bag until that day. I didn't forget rice, pasta, flour, honey and molasses. It was in the fridge. When I filled all the jams and derivatives in the fridge, I was finished because at the age of 40 I decided not to be a patient and a patient dependent on the insulin needle.

It was an empty kitchen and my new life was looking at me. Everything here was easy and lasted for 5 minutes, but how would a person sleeping with bedwill sleep at the bedside? I was not dependent on any food and my life would be much more beautiful without them. 10 years later, today, when I reconsider those days, I'm glad to say that I was alone with this disease. Or I don't know what my life and health would be like now. What I cried that day makes me laugh today.

First I went to a dietician to guide me right. He gave me half a piece of bagel at breakfast so he didn't have a thing. It didn't fit the way my doctor said. Simit = white flour and molasses. White flour would quickly turn into sugar in my body. The same as molasses. I decided that there was a mistake here and started to investigate myself.

I learned that sugar is one of the biggest poisons we put in our body, how it hurts all our cells, including our brain, when we eat, and most importantly, I learned that sugar is an addiction. Well, then the addictions were to get away, and I was going to do it. Candy was a friend who was more desirable than she defeated but totally forgotten unless she defeated it. Since then, I haven't consumed any more refined sugar.
