Too often use fan / AC, disease and death become a threat

  • The cool taste that is produced makes fans and air conditioners become important items that are needed by society, especially urban communities.

But do you know there are side effects from using fans and excessive air conditioning. Reporting from various sources following diseases that can threaten even lead to death.

1.Bell's palsy or paralyzed face

Bell's palsy or paralysis of the face is a disease caused by swelling of the nerves on the face caused by exposure to a fan or air conditioner. Generally the condition begins with several symptoms, including; talk is not clear, the eyes feel sore when washing your face, it is difficult to open your mouth, reduce the function of the tongue, and so forth. Although it is unclear what caused it, it could be caused by an infection of a virus that is carried by air or wind.

2.Easy tingling

Continuous exposure to cold air can cause tingling to pain in the joints of the hands due to swelling of the nerves. This condition will appear more often, especially if someone is sleeping in an incorrect position.

3.Stiffness in Neck Muscles

Generally after waking up, someone will feel more refreshed. But what if the body feels sore or tense in the neck? Beware of these conditions may be due to exposure to a fan or AC. Symptoms that are felt include, the neck feels pain when turned, moved, when talking or coughing. In addition to reducing the use of a fan or air conditioner, you can reduce pain by compressing using a warm towel or massage.

4.Shortness of breath

Exposure to fans and air conditioners for too long can cause respiratory problems, one of which is shortness of breath. To overcome this, as much as possible do not let the air conditioner or fan turn on all night. In addition, set the direction of the wind that is not too large, especially those that affect your body.

5.Dehydration and Hypothermia

Being in a closed room with a fan or air conditioner that lights up for a long time can cause the body to lose fluid and hypothermia leading to death. Symptoms of mild hypothermia include grayish skin, weakened heart rate, decreased blood pressure, and muscle contraction.
