LIFE OR DEATH THINGS HAPPENING IN OUR TRAINED HOSPITALS AND THEY ARE BEING IMPROPERLY HANDLED.

Let me being by stating that I have no side to health care other than thinking that health care should not be in a profit drive market.

I went to a hospital last night in Garden City, Michigan, creatively called Garden City Hospital. It was by far the worst experience ever in my life and I have health insurance.

The Back Story

Leading up to my most recent visit to the er you all need to know that I have had the same issue in the past. Twice a year my allergies get so bad that my asthma become unmanageable. As a result over the last 4-5 years I have been rushed by ambulance to the hospital like clockwork.

Yesterday I knew it was getting at its max and I wasn’t going to be macho about it plus I was pretty convinced that it was onset to bronchitis or pneumonia. I was determined to get ahead of it. So I did a 6cc dose for the 12th time in 24 hours on my nebulizer and easily made it to the hospital other than the extreme fatigue that was making it easy for me to zone off. I probably should have took the ambulance in all honesty. What I did was unsafe for sure.

In the past when this has happened, my inhaler really does nothing but allow me to catch my breath for a minute or two. It’s the nebulizer that keeps me from dying. The asthma attacks don’t stay consistent... the best way I can explain it is like a woman having contractions.

Of course not in terms of pain, that ridiculous. However, in terms of rhythm it’s identical. And with the shortening gaps between attacks the intensity becomes stronger and stronger until I’m pretty much blue in the face.

Now on to the events that took place at Garden City Hospital in Garden City, Michigan. The next little excerpt you will read is the email that I sent to what the hospital refers to as, “a patient experience representative.”

Please keep in Mind that once you read the events that took place you will understand my horror even up till now knowing a hospital can treat a human this way. Usually within my writings I may slip in a word or two that may be of harsh receiving and I apologize in advance for that, but I amz what I amz.

The Email read as such...

“To whom it may concern if anyone at all...

If I wasn’t actually checked in, which I’m thinking may be the case, I was the guy in a green hoodie second row back closest to the sliding glass door. Also wearing blue pajama pants. Check the cameras!

Please read this I feel it to be very disturbing seeing that your hospital has received nothing but praise from me up until now...

I went to garden city hospital today for an asthma attack. I drove there to avoid the ambulance fee. I’ve been dying for two days now using this nebulizer and inhaler with no help at all. A 101 fever, chest pain, and unlimited amounts of flem. Plus this shaking chill feels like someone just randomly hits the a/c on and night sweats are killing me.

They saw how I was dressed and treated me instantly like a drug addict because of my appearance. I’ve been bed ridden for two days and I don’t mean to boast, but I’ve never been a man for appearance... also I’m not broke, I make more money than every employee in that hospital outside of doctors and maybe finance depending on the going salary. They never even asked me for my insurance information which I already let my insurance company know not to pay out any charges that I refused treatment after about an hour of sitting around .
They judged me before treating me. While I was in the emergency room waiting room I sat there clenching an inhaler unable to use it because my hands were locked solid from hyperventilating.
I’m confident that my asthma is a response to pneumonia which I’ve had before, but I wouldn’t know that for sure. I told them everything when I went in to see the nurse before going into the er. She seemed nice but a couple things did not happen including the fact that no one could remember why I was there. They kept asking me the same questions and anxiety from not being able to breath was building up and causing me to freak out a little. I guess according to my wife, people who are having heroine withdrawals get extremely cold and shiver... I wouldn’t fucking know but I guess they did. And the fact I was wearing thick clothes on a 75+ degree day didn’t help.
I never noticed till I got out of there that they never even gave me a wrist band with my name on it.
I went into room ** in the emergency unit, and there I waited for another 45 minutes not being able to breath and unable to use my inhaler.
Terrified I started calling my wife by slamming my pointed hand on my phone and trying to say Siri as loud as I could to get her to call my wife. I even tried calling 911 from the room because I was starting to go in and out.
Finally I grabbed my shit dropped the robe and started to make my way to the lobby where I just had service before going in the back.
Well needless to say I didn’t make it to the lobby instead I fainted in the hallway probably because of my inability to eat or drink, plus the over abundance of oxygen.
A cop found me in the hallway and brought me back too. My wife was calling and I was trying to get the cop to answer the phone. eventually I was able to answer the phone ... she’s saved in my phone as darlin... it should have been clear... instead he waited there while I clenched my inhaler in my hand trying to gasp at just one fucking puff...the only thing I could find breath to yell is my wife will tell you everything please answer my phone.
He refused and I remained there trying to catch my breath while he held his hand over top his taser.
Let me explain... I am in the fetal position locked up from hyperventilating from not being able to breath and use my inhaler... I was supposedly a threat and he refused to listen to me cry out to talk to someone who could articulate at the moment. An individual who should be quick on his feet when he holds the position that he does in your facility and honestly no one had any clue what was going on.
As the nurse walked down the hallway from the emergency room she said she was looking for someone in room 18... it had been the nurse that kept peeping her head in on me, I’m the only one in the hospital with a fucking parka on. She knew it was me but played dumb till the cop told her I said I was from 18.
Still going in and out with my breath still not caught, there yelling at me telling me to stand up... I fucking can’t stand I’m froze up from hyperventilating. My hands are lobster claws at this point and no one knew what was going on... they kept saying he might be on something.
I don’t think they ever intended on treating me if medically than at least maybe with dignity. eventually they came in while I was waiting on my wife who heard my conversation with the cop while she was on the phone.
They came in with a chest scope to see what I was sounding like when breathing...
Now understand I have had asthma most of my life with periodic breaks here and there. So when the nurse told me I was a hypochondriac and continued to berate me through out the whole emergency room floor to all the other patients as I lay there so fucking tired from my body seizing up that I couldn’t stand up for myself; how infuriating would you be.
As well your hospital has been the hospital that I have been rushed to by ambulance every year in the same month because it’s usually some kind of lung infection I have to get over.
Finally about 10 minutes went by and I was controlling my breathing the same way you do in the gas chambers in basic training, slow shallow breaths and pay attention to my heart rate... about 10 minutes went by and everything, though still soar, had loosened up enough for me to get fingers around shirts and then I walked out refusing treatment. Now I’m home doing my nebulizer again that I told them I had plenty of medicine, it just wasn’t doing it’s job because I think I have an infection of some sort things in my lungs.
I completely forgot to tell you that when they finally pulled me off the floor they threw me hard as fuck backwards onto a stretcher. I guess to see if I was faking.

Everyone knows my vices, I have never been a private guy about it. But being a heroine junkie has never been one and I’m completely appalled that I was treated so badly in that emergency room. eventually I just denied treatment and went home because there were just waiting me around out of there. I don’t even drink alcohol.

Now I hope you see what the fuck my fear is. I went back home and now I’m illegally taking prescription pills my wife was given. Although hey are just antibiotics, there her prescription.

I know I could have just went to another hospital, but after yesterday, I don’t want to. I never think anything would come of this and I am horrified to know that they are willing to treat any human in such a way.

I was always under the presumption that breathing is immediate treatment and feeling like your drowning in your own spit fucking sucks to be able to handle yourself professionally.

I wish we could use this site to start a revolution. Again thanks for reading. I didn’t spend much time on this, I know it probably shows, I’m not feeling the best but I feel this information needed to be shared with the masses.

Have a good day/night where ever you guys may be.
