GOOD ADVICE!!! PARENTS LOOKING TO BRING UP A HEALTHY CHILD. THIS WRITE UP IS MAINLY FOR YOU....

There are many ways to raise a happy, lovely and well-trained kids, and In this piece, I will provide a few tips that could help your child turn out the best way you have always wanted.

Are you a parent looking to bring up a healthy child?

Here are some research-based tips for good parenting. Be rest assured I will give answers to the latter question too; “Are there some foods that kids should eat?”

To start with, health is a state of physical, mental, emotional, intellectual, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. And this is applicable to all children too, since they are not inanimate objects.

Children cannot individually achieve optimal health. They are dependent not only upon adults in their family, but also their parents and community in general. Making your child free for training in the midst of these people earlier mentioned, will make them experience an environment full of knowledge, wisdom and morals.

A child, who lacks proper training and morals, is likely to dwell in the ocean of physical and mental abuse which include; overweight/obesity, bad body odour, poor oral health, diabetes and other chronic health issues. These are unintentional trauma in which parental negligence is the root.

No one would argue the fact that raising just a child demands a lot of time and an outstanding effort. So, to make it look simple, here are some few steps that could distract you from seeing parenting as a hard job, rather guide and encourage you to raise an intelligent child.

Show your child an Unconditional Love; be constructive in your statements

As a parent, you're responsible for guiding and correcting your kids. But, this depends on how you handle your guidance technique. Your children are human also; they could easily react to both aggressive and careful techniques.
When you try to make corrections, avoid blame, criticism. Be a fault finder, but not a self-esteem destroyer. Show him how disastrous his action could be and how a good child behaves, encourage him on good deeds, and not forcefully by yelling at him.

Be vigilant; your mental health is a tool

If you suspect your behaviour has changed for the worse; maybe depression or any other health challenge that could influence your child negatively, get help from professionals. This is not only for your own sake, but also your child’s security. Research suggests that depressed moms are examples of a bad parenting, as muted response to a crying a baby is disastrous. Compared to healthy moms who chose their attention to kids as primary. Moms like this, are able to figure out the exact problem disturbing their baby. Depressed moms with strict negative nurturing styles contribute harmfully to their children’s behaviour, I’m a witness.

Be consistent. If you want the discipline to manifest, then consistency matters most. You can't punish your child for wrong doings today and bribe with candy the next day.

Rewarding your child for a good behaviour is obviously more effective than ordering different punishments for a bad behaviour. Letting your child know you noticed his good behaviour is a way of showing LOVE. Never keep quiet when your child behaves well. I will urge you; don't underestimate the importance of admiring your child’s good deed. Kids love these statements “I love you and I mean it, I hope to see you do it the right way next time.” when fucked up OR "I'm so proud of you kid” these make them feel appreciated after exhibiting a good behaviour, so they always want to do more.

Be authoritative, but Strictness has weighty consequences

Want to keep your teens away from experimenting bad habits? There are some things you would see as the best for your kids, don’t force them, but let it show in your reaction that, your child can’t find any other father better than you. Always tell him/her you are the best and you are ready to move a mountain to make him/her the best he/she could be. Be authoritative or commanding when it comes to building him/her for a good behavior. Never look back on the right decisions you have laid down, even if he/she is not happy about it.

You can start this, by setting a strict bedtime routine. It's important they have to get enough rest before going to school. Explain to them the advantages of early bedtime and disadvantages it may cause to their health.

This must include some strict rules. Like turn off the TV, tidy the parlour, pray before you sleep, brush your teeth after dinner. All these must be said in a commanding tone. And neither should you bribe because you want him to sleep earlier, the least you could do is to sleep beside him till he is asleep. By doing this, they will truly know that you are the parent while they are the children. I think I’m communicating?

Don't be a fool just because you see your child grow

g.jpg

Sometimes, height fools some parents. He/she is still just that…. A KID. No matter how tall he gets or how robust she looks. You need to remind them who the parent is and how the child was given birth to. Be diplomatic during their puberty stages, from ages 11 to 22 is regarded as a critical time for brain development. So it's important you keep it in mind that, you need God’s interference through these years.

You are a mirror

Do you wish to raise a polite child? You must straighten your rods too. I mean, be of good characters. What you do will be replicated by your child. Be good always, as your behaviour will affect his/her lifestyle, even until old age.

Try adding pleasant words like “Please, Thank You, I’m sorry, and I really appreciate your effort" to your constructions. Kids easily learn how to interact with others by imitation. They observe the grown-ups and then model their behaviour individually with the lesson learned. So, if you treat everyone (friends, cashiers, bus drivers, family members, teachers, and your partner to mention a few) politely, the chance that your child will do the same is high. Couples who suffer from marital instability, such as divorce, or quarrels may set their infants up for aggressive personality.

Encourage your child to engage in sport

sss.jpg

You don't have to register your child for ten different activities in a week, one or two is okay, but you have got to make enquiries on which one he loves most. Then, incorporate them into his/her weekly routine. This ranges from soccer to tennis, basketball, art class. Just name it! They are numerous. By doing this, you are putting up a strategy to help him/her socialize with other children. And don’t be a lazy type; If she complains that she doesn't have an interest in piano lessons, and deep down, you know she likes it, never give in just because you don't feel like driving.

Don’t Aim for the Best, rather Wish!

A Good result is enough, even better results are welcome. So if he is the best, I think that’s a bonus. Nobody is perfect, so don’t torture yourself with impossibilities.

Free them! Let them play in the dirt!

In today's hyper-hygienic world, many parents douse their kids with antibacterial solution trying to ignore contaminants. But research has shown that freeing them to play in the mud is actually healthy. Soil exposure increases serotonin; a natural antidepressant that enhances happiness. Also, it strengthens the immune system. Encourage your child to give a helping hand in the garden or creatively create a dirt track with his/her favourite toy trucks or cars.

You are what you eat!

I’m so sure, this is not the first time you will see this sentence. By now, you should have felt the practicality of the sentence, as you should have seen an improvement or depreciation in health due to your intake. The saying "garbage in, garbage out" is really the best phrase for our body. "Studies demonstrate that children who consume more plant-based, organic foods are normally healthier, and with stronger immune systems. A child fed with junks is indirectly knocking the door to cancerous, diabetes, and some other killable epiphanies. Are you healthy? Give them what you conceive, is your weight showing your unhealthiness, stop them from eating what affected you in your early days.

Evaluate his/her vitamin D levels

vvv.jpg

Many children are not getting enough vitamin D. In which, this is an exceptional element a child should not lack. Due to the use of sunscreens and reduction in sun exposure, the consequences of vitamin D deficiency include muscle weakness, asthma, and increased risk of infections and autoimmune disorders. Vitamin D3 supplement is a liquid, easy and tasteless for kids.

Raising kids is one of the toughest and most fulfilling jobs in the world, but it is unfortunate that it is also the one in which you might feel the least prepared. So, with the tips provided, I think you should get prepared for the next challenge.
