Healthy eating, money-saving.

Hallo everyone!!

Eating healthy is not as hard as you think!! I realized that most people don't do it out of convenience or simply because they don't have the time or means for it. It's something I'm pretty much obsessed with due to my various eating disorders over the years (there, it's out in the open) and obsession with weight loss and fitness.

It does not have to be expensive. I'm serious. I'll walk you through what I typically ate in Austria for the last 3 months. It doesn't have to be bland and icky too, contrary to popular belief. It's an unpopular opinion of mine but I believe ANYTHING can be done with the right mindset. I'm a Biotechnologist majoring in Molecular and cell Biology and Microbiology and we do take on stuff like genetics as well of course.

And of course, genetics is to be blamed for certain weight disorders/conditions but I believe that there are actions that can be taken to combat the fat wave. And no, I'm not shunning people who are overweight, I would really love to try help in any way I can. I get asked about healthy eating and meal options a lot as I don't gain weight in winter here as most people do and I thought I'd write on the matter.

Honestly, it doesn't mean limiting your options either!! Craving a big fat juicy burger with a side of fries and a milkshake?? Go for it!! Life is really too short to be counting calories like that. The key is moderation (I know. Clichè.)

I try to walk as much as I can for starters, to maintain my metabolism. I get off a few stops earlier off the trams or buses to walk back to my place if I'm not too tired. I also enjoy hiking in winter. The sharp cold has a certain sense of deliciousness to it 😊

You have to believe me on this!! It's not that difficult to eat healthy!! 😎 I used to walk back in Malaysia to my apartment in the scorching heat just to make a meal of stir fried mushrooms and tofu. I love rice as all Asians do. But cutting back on the carbs sometimes is good too!! I also save up so much money by eating home on weekdays. I have more to spend on alcohol on weekends then!!

I have eaten so much veggie, cheese and bread the past 3 months. Also, pasta. But it's mighty healthy and I can show you how if you're interested!!

I have really yummy food days too!! That was a schwein steak with an egg and fries. I'd rate it a 1/5 though. 1 for the art!! 😂😂 it was hard as rubber. Yuck. Okay that was contradictory

Not such an amazing picture but I made these Malaysian-esque stir fried egg noodles. Heavenly!! At least 4 types of veggies in there. Zucchini, onions, green onions and paprika. I love adding Chinese cabbage too!! Gives it a nice amount of crunch.

Anyway, if you guys would like more food pics/what I typically make, feel free to ask!! I might even start microblogging about my typical meal preps, costs etc. I spend about 30 Euros on groceries per week and it lasts me over a week most times.
