Tuberculosis (TBC) bukan penyakit warga perkampungan tetapi saat ini sudah banyak orang juga orang Kota terkena penyalit TBC, semakin tinggi kasus resistensi obat krn ketidakpatuhan pasien untuk minum obat secara terus menerus dalam jangka lama.
Pemeriksan kesehatan secara rutin dapat mendeteksi secara dini kecurigan penyakit TB pada seseorang.

Indonesia merupakan salah satu Negara yang menghadapi triple Burden TBC,yakni insiden TBC,insiden TBC resistant obat (OR) and TBC HIV.
Situa di TBC diIndonesia cukup mengkwatirkan sebanyak 4,400 kasus TBC RO ternotifikasi 52.929 TB anak, and 7,725 TB HIV. Namun demikian 89% penderita TBC berhasil di sembuhkan.
