Using sunscreen every day is very important, to avoid premature aging and reduce the risk of skin cancer, especially for people who frequently move outside. Sunscreen should be used before leaving home.
The Environmental Working Group (EWG) or environmental work group issued an annual "Guide to Sunscreen", including a review of over 1,000 sunscreens, moisturizers, and lip balms. The EWG, quoted from Newsweek, found that about 67 percent of products are not working properly or created using materials that could potentially harm users.
EWG puts all the reviewed products into a database that can easily be found by consumers. Users can search by brand, price, sun protection factor, such as SPF (Sun Protector Factor) level, and can even search the list of products without oxybenzone material.

There are a few things users should consider when choosing the right sunscreen. First, the user should consider the SPF level. Compare with the needs of each, such as color and skin type.
In addition, the SPF value measures only the protection that the product offers against ultraviolet B radiation released by the sun. Products called "broad spectrum" offer protection against the different radiation released by the sun.
The EWG says an SPF rating above 50 is not really necessary and really should not make users think that they do not need to use sunscreen in the middle of the day with high SPF, which would then be dangerous.
Many of these high SPF products also contain oxybenzone which absorbs UVA radiation. Oxybenzone, however, is an allergen that can enter the bloodstream through the skin and can disrupt hormones in the body. Therefore, you should avoid sunscreen with oxybenzone composition.
