Draw Closer to God and ask

Anytime I need help and I want to use my own method to look for help, I fail woefully, most time it get worst and most times I don't even get the help I needed from the people I run to.
I can still remember, there was a time I was financially down, I need help to get an apartment when I started my NYSC (National Youth Service Corp) I called few friends I had, asking, begging and even pleading for money, some promised and never kept to it, some invited me over to get it which I know they won't give, some told me about their own problem and I was stranded.

One day, as I was thinking, a word came into my mind "did you ask God" my dear, I was shocked, I did not ask God infact I did not even tell Him about my challenge I just went on to apply my own knowledge to do the things I wanted and it failed.
After, the big question, I gave up on man, I decided to ask God for it. I told God I was so sorry for trying to solve my problem alone, few days later I receive an alert and I was able to solve my problem.

Hebrews 4:16 (Amplified Bible)

Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].

Most times, just like I did, we love running to people for help instead of God. The Bible in Hebrew is telling us to draw near to God, you know when you are close to God, you will be able to communicate with Him then His mercy will be sufficient to us and anything we need we will receive.

Don't run to that uncle, auntie, brother, friend, sister, pastor or man first when you have problem or challenges in life. Communicate with God first, go to God first, let Him be one to send that person you want to ask of help to you and it will be solved.

He is always ready to supply all our needs according to His glory if only we will go closer to the throne of grace and ask.
