CROSS YOUR JORDAN
It came to pass after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' servant, saying:
My servant Moses is dead; Now, then, get up and pass this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land that I am giving to the children of Israel. (Joshua 1: 1-2)
Just as God can give Joshua instructions, tell us what to do, God can open new chapters in our lives. It can tell us to take another direction, assign us new responsibilities, take on new challenges in our life. And He speaks to us in this word that we must accept and be willing to take those new instructions responsibly as we move forward to reclaim our spiritual heritage. Every blessing that God gives us comes with a measure of responsibility and we must take it seriously.
God indicates to Joshua that it was time to undertake new things. Joshua would miss Moses, but it was clear where he had to obey God and move on. There is time to mourn for what we have lost or have come to an end. But definitely, we must make decisions to start living and continue to progress.
We all have a past, but thank God we also have a future, a very good one. According to his word ..
For I know the thoughts I have about you, says Jehovah, Thoughts of Peace, and not of evil, to give you the end you hope for. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Remember the good things in your past, but don't just stand there paralyzed. God is always doing something new! God is Faithful, don't be afraid to let go and walk away from what God has already finished with; He has good and wonderful things for each of his children!
GOD bless you greatly.
