Two people died and five others injured after a tree fell on them due to heavy rains at MG road, near Metro Cinema in Mumbai on Sunday.
Water-logging and delay in local trains have been reported from commercial capital Mumbai due to Heavy rains on Monday.
According to news agency NAI, Central Railway stated that there was some water accumulation at Sion due to continuous rains. But trains are running on all three lines of Central Railway (Mainline, Harbour and Trans-harbour) with a delay of 5-7 minutes. Trains on Up and Down lines are running late by 15-20 minutes due to heavy rainfall between Thane and Byculla stations. According to Indian Meteorological Department, Colaba recorded 90 mm and Santacruz recorded 195 mm of rain at 5.30 am. The IMD forecast heavy to very heavy rain to continue in Mumbai. High tide is at 10:42 AM and the low tide at 4:41 PM. The last Spring High Tide was on Fri 15 Jun (height:5.00m 16.4ft). Next high Spring Tide in Mumbai will be on Friday 29th June (height:4.41m 14.5ft).
