this photograph taken by Manuel Litran in France in 1980. The 140 dogs whose owners had left while on vacation were slaughtered in 3 days when they could not find a new family. Litran brought 140 dogs killed and placed them on the main road with frigorific vehicles and photographed them. Apparently, there were people who believed that the animals they abandoned were guarded by the municipalities until they were aged and died naturally.
